<br /> I City of Arden Hills Chapter 2 Administration <br /> I,. examination process and shall be utilized for closely observing the employee's work, for <br /> I securing the most effective adjustment of the employee to the position and for rejecting any <br /> I employees whose performance does not meet all required work standards. At any time during <br /> I the probationary period of an employee, the Clerk-Administrator or employee's department <br /> head may recommend to the City Council that an employee be transferred or dismissed if <br /> I their position is discontinued or if their performance does not meet the required standards, <br /> I <br /> Subd. 2 Application. Original and promotional appointments for all positions shall be <br /> I probationary and subject to a probationary period of six (6) months service after appointment. <br /> I <br /> IC. Subd, 3 Review, At least three (3) week prior to completion of the probationary period, the <br /> Clerk-Administrator or department head shall review the performance of a probationary <br /> I employee and make a recommendation to the City Council, The matter shall be placed on the <br /> I Council agenda for the next regular meeting at which time te-IICouncil shall consider the <br /> recommendation and make a determination as to whether the employee shall be continued as <br /> I a regular full-time or regular part-time employee or be terminated.
