Sunday, when they have the effect of converting a Friday or Monday to a holiday, shall not <br /> I be counted as a day of vacation. <br /> I <br /> I Subd. 3 Probationary Period. Newly appointed employees will accrue vacation during the <br /> probationary period and will be eligible to use accrued vacation after the completion of six <br /> I (6) months [one hundred eighty (180) days] of continuous service. This provision does not <br /> I apply to employees serving a probationary period following promotion. <br /> . Subd, 4 Separation, An employee who leaves the municipal service after a minimum of one <br /> I (1) complete year of continuous service shall be compensated for vacation accrued to the date <br /> .- of separation. <br /> I Subd. 5 Vacation Accrual. <br /> I <br /> A. Commencing with the date on which ao employee first became employed by the City <br /> I and continuing through the fifth year of their employment, a regular full time employee <br /> . shall accrue paid vacation leave benefits at the rate of three aod five-tenths (3.5) hours <br /> for each biweekly pay period they have been ao employee of the City; provided, <br /> I however, no probationary employee shall be entitled to avail themseIf of such benefits. <br /> I Temporary employees are not eligible for vacation leave. <br /> I B.
