Regular part-time employees shaIl not be entitled to I <br /> group insurance coverage. I <br /> 240,16 Vacations. I <br /> I <br /> Subd. 1 Application. Vacation leave is intended as a period of rest and relaxation and may I <br /> not be waived by an employee for the purpose of receiving double pay, No regular employee <br /> shall carry over into the next calendar year any more accrued vacation leave benefits than I <br /> forty (40) hours in excess of the total hours the employee has actually accrued during that -I <br /> year, <br /> I <br /> Subd, 2 Approval. Vacations will ~ subject to the prior approval of the Clerk- I <br /> Administrator NOTE: (Supervisor?) An employee having the most continuous service will I <br /> lilbe given preference in the choice of vacation time, All vacations must be arranged at <br /> least ten (10) days in advance. If, during vacation leave, an employee becomes ill and is I <br /> confined to a hospital or to bedrest, sick leave benefits may be used. The Clerk-Administrator I <br /> may require that such iIlness be verified by medical certification before approving the <br /> payment of sick leave benefits, When an official holiday as provided herein faIls on the I <br /> working day during an employee's vacation, the day of the holiday ~l1not be counted I <br /> as a day of vacation.
