When New Year's Day, Independence Day, Veterans Day .1 <br /> I <br />or Christmas Day fail on Sunday, the following Monday shall be a holiday. When New <br />Year's Day, Independence Day, Veterans Day or Christmas Day fall on Saturday, the I <br />preceding Friday shall be a holiday. Floating holidays must have prior approval of the em- I <br />ployee's supervisor. I <br />240.25 Severance Pay. Regular full-time employees who have completed ten (10) or more years .1 <br />of continuous service with the City and who are leaving the City's employment in good standing I <br />~receive a percentage of their unused accumulated sick leave upon retirement or layoff. <br />This severance pay benefit 'mil .,~be thirty-three and one-third (33%) percent of the employee's I <br />unused accumulated sick leave to a maximum benefit offorty (40) days [three hundred twenty -I <br />(320) hours] of pay. <br /> I <br />240.26 Resignation. I <br />Subd. 1 Notice. An employee leaving the municipal service in good standing shall give I <br />fourteen (14) calendar days' advance written notice of resignation to the employee's I <br />immediate supervisor. The employee shall be compensated for accumulated unused vacation I <br />leave provided that the employee has a minimum of one (1) complete year of continuous <br />service.
