I Chair Erickson asked where the event parking would be. Mr. Hjeile indicated the event parking will be near the sports center and also the Community Life Center. I Commissioner Larson inquired if Lake Valentine is included in figuring the lot coverage. Mr. Ringwald indicated Lake Valentine is not included, but the wetlands are. I Commissioner Sand inquired about handicapped parking. Mr. Ringwald indicated there is no stall designation on the site plan. Mr. Hjelle indicated the dorms that are near this lot are inaccessible and I the lerrain is not very accessible. Therefore, there is not a need for accessible parking, although if the City sees a need to deSIgnate handicap parking the applicant will comply. I Commissioner Sand inquired if there is adequate handicapped parking near the football field. Mr. Hjelle indicated there are four designated handicapped spaces. I Mr. Ringwald noted an additional condition could be added to verify the ADA parking requirements have been met prior to permit issuance. I . Corrunissioner Carlson noted when the originally Master Plan was drafted, it was his understanding that Bethel College was at the enrollment they desired. Mr. Hjelle indicated that would be incorrect, and the Bethel College is researching the necessity of updating their Master Plan. The goal of I enrollment is approximately 2,400 stUdents. I Corrunissioner Carlson questioned the college's intentions for the lot across from the entrance. Mr. Hjelle indicated there are no current plans or intentions for buildings on that lot. I Commissioner Rye inquired ,f there were any concerns regarding Rice Creek Walershed requirements. Mr. Hjelle indicated they will have Rice Creek Watershed approval before proceeding, in fact the civil engineer is currently working with Rice Creek Watershed District.
