Resolution #95-90. 1996 Street Improvements <br /> The Council is asked to adopt Resolution #95-90 receiving the preliminary report . <br /> and calling for a public hearing for the 1996 street improvements. The report has <br /> been revised to include suggested changes recommended by the City <br /> Council. Staffwil.l be sending notice about informational meetings scheduled for . <br /> January 9,1996 at 5:30 and 7:00 pm. The formal public hearing wil.l be <br /> scheduled for January 29, 1996. <br /> 6. National Guard Pavment . <br /> The National Guard has requested reimbursement for the Arden Hills share of the . <br /> water/sewer connection at the National Guard. Staff does not recommend <br /> approving the additional request from the project engineer in the amount of <br /> $5,384.42. I have notified the National Guard of this recommendation. . <br /> 7. Resolution #95-91. Fernwood Avenue <br /> -. <br /> The Council is asked to adopt Resolution #95-91, establishing Femwood Avenue <br /> as a municipal state aid street. The City engineer has recommended that this <br /> action be undertaken to assist the City with the anticipated reconstruction of the <br /> street. . <br /> 8. TeAAP Update <br /> The Vento Committee has supposedly completed its meetings and has drafted a . <br /> recommendation to Congressman Vento. This recommendation appears to be <br /> similar to the plan which staff had previously provided the City Council. Staff <br /> wil.l continue to monitor the language included in this recommendation as the . <br /> final draft is prepared. <br /> - <br /> Staffhas been meeting with the local representatives at TCAAP to discuss some . <br /> of the short term needs of the community and how these could be accomplished. <br /> These include the City Hall, joint Public Works facility, Community Ballfields . <br /> and economic development. I anticipate the need to have some strategy <br /> meetings early in the new year. Finally, I have J;leen appointed to the Restoration <br /> Advisory Board (RAB) which will meet on the first Monday of each month. . <br /> ~ <br /> . <br />
