It should be noted that city code does <br />not allow for septic systems with new buildings. <br /> <br />Chapter 10, Utilities – Section 1010.02 Connections Required. <br />Subd. 1 Existing Buildings. Any building used for human habitation and located on <br />property adjacent to a sewer main, or in a platted block through which the system <br />extends, shall be connected to the municipal sanitary sewer system within two (2) years <br />from the date on which a connection is available to the building. <br /> <br />Subd. 2 New Buildings. All buildings constructed after the adoption of this code within <br />the City on property adjacent to a sewer main or in a platted block through which the <br />municipal sanitary sewer system extends, shall be provided with a connection to the <br />sewer system for the disposal of all human wastes. <br /> <br />Chapter 11, Subdivision – Section 1140.02 Sewers and Water. <br />Sewers and water for the subdivision shall be obtained by connections to the City water <br />and sewer systems. <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />The Applicant has requested an opportunity to update the City Council on their options for <br />extension of utility services and temporarily allowing for a septic system prior to moving <br />forward with closing on the Subject Property which is tentatively scheduled for the end of the <br />month. <br /> <br />Budget Impact <br /> <br />N/A <br /> <br />Attachments <br /> <br />A.
