Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2024-004 <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2, ADMINISTRATION, <br />SECTION 220, BOARDS, COMMITTEES AND COMMISSIONS, <br />SUBSECTIONS 220.04 AND 220.05 OF THE ARDEN HILLS CITY CODE, <br />REGARDING COMPOSITION OF THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br />COMMISSION, AND COMPOSITION OF THE PARKS, TRAILS, AND <br />RECREATION COMMITTEE <br /> <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA, ORDAINS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1. Chapter 2, Administration, Section 220 – Boards, Committees and <br />Commissions, Subsection 220.04 – Economic Development Commission, Subdivision 2 – <br />Composition, is hereby amended by adding the underlined language and deleting the [stricken] <br />language as follows: <br /> <br />220.04 Economic Development Commission. <br /> <br />* * * <br /> <br /> Subd. 2 Composition. The Economic Development Commission shall consist of nine (9) <br />members appointed by the City Council. The membership [may be] is open to any resident or <br />non-resident affiliated with an Arden Hills business who is interested in the business climate <br />and economic development direction of the City. There shall be at least four (4) Arden Hills <br />residents represented on the Commission. One additional member may be appointed by the <br />City Council as a Youth Commissioner [may be appointed by the City Council]. The Youth <br />Commissioner will have the same voting rights as other members of the commission. The <br />Youth Commissioner’s term will last for one year from September 1st through August 31st. <br />The Youth Commissioner must [meet] be a Sophomore, Junior or Senior enrolled in a high- <br />school or PSEO program; and be enrolled in a school district that serves Arden Hills or a <br />resident of Arden Hills attending a school outside of the City’s typical school districts. At no <br />time shall there be more than two (2) members who meet the criteria of Youth Commissioner <br />serving on the commission.
