Grafftulder and upon motion <br />of Cummings seconded by McClung, the title of :Ralph 'l, lfu.nt was revised <br />from "Commander of Civil Defense of Arden Hills" to RDirector of Civil <br />Defense of Arden Hills," Colonel Miller and J4r.,lfu.nt.to be so notified by the <br />clerk. <br /> <br />CWMS: :By motion of ~ngs seconded by McClung the following claims <br />were approved for payment if found correct by the Clerk: <br /> <br />#49 - Melvin Hurlbert, :Bldg. Inspector, 901. of August permit #24 - $1.35 <br />1}50 - Melvin Hurlbert, :Bldg. IMpector, 90'f. of September permits <br />Nos. 22, 23, 25 '" 26 32.40 <br /> <br />:By motion of McClung seconded by DeLange the following Claims were Bil- <br />proved for payment I <br /> <br />1A5 - Don E. Gribble (Don's Corner) for constables' July gas <br />Jl46 - Don E. Gribble (Don's Corner) for constables' Aug. gas <br />#51 - William Koalska - for c:u.tting weeds, 12 MS. @ $3.00 per hr. <br /> <br />10.77 <br />4.83 <br />36.00 <br /> <br />Claim No. 44 in favor of the County TreaSQrer, for $451.13 for overdrafts <br />for road work from March 26th to August 25th inclusive, were at the c1erk1s <br />suggestion ordered referred back to the County Surveyor for elimination cf <br />an item for regraveling of Valentine Road which was ordered by the township. <br />($49.22 of the $451.13 is to be billed to a Mr. Schneider for whose account the <br />culvert was ordered.) <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Claims Nos. 47 '" 48 in favor of the Lake Johanna Vo 1unteer Fire Department <br />and Spring Lake Park Fire Department, fo1'*230.90 each, based upon tax collec- <br />tions to include ~,,1951, were referred to the Public Safe~ Committee for <br />recOlllqndation as to payment and amount, and the committee was required to hold <br />a meeting wring the week. (In this connection the council indicated that the <br />busine811 of the respective standing committees be referred to them befors action <br />by the council.) <br /> <br />PUBLIC SAFETY COMMI'1'l'EE: In the absence of the chairman, Mayor Cummings <br />requested $2000.00 for fire protection and $240.00 for constables' gas be in- <br />cluded in the budget for 1952. <br /> <br />BA.SDlEIiT HOMES: Building Inspector Ye1vinlfurlbert reported on base- <br />ment homes' ordillS.nce adopted by the Township of Mounds View.
