Franson, 422.5 40th Ave. S., Minneapolis, appeared <br />and stated that he is leasing the "Arden Hills Club Cafe" for one )'ear with <br />option for a 3-year renewal, beginning July 1, 19.52. '!he council by motion <br />of Doepner seconded by Delange voted to issue licenses to him as follows, and <br />to cancel those previously issued to Stephen C. She rack expiring Dec. 31, 19.52: <br /> <br />:M'.a1 t "on sale" $12 .00 <br />MAlt-off aale . 2..50 <br />Cigaret1le $6.00" <br />Cafe $2..50 <br /> <br />All licenses to be for the pc riod of July 1st, 19.52 to December 31, 19.52. <br /> <br />1 Juke box $1.5.00 <br />2. pinball machine $.5.00 <br />Soft drink: $2..50 <br /> <br />PETITIONS, ltEIDNS'!'1lANCES, E'ro.: Mr. Charlie Amble upon oral requeat to <br />the council 1I8.a by motion of DeLange seconded by McClung granted permission to <br />have a supervised fireworks disply for neighborhood children the evening of <br />July 4th, 19.52, both constables to be notified thereof, and Graf:f'under said he <br />woul<l do so. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />!BAFFIC CONTROL: Dick Rosacker asked the council to reconsider the question <br />of Obtaining the State Highway Department's approval of a reduced speed limit on <br />the north-travelled lane of High_" .51 fr em Highway 10 to the south village <br />limits. He was again informed of the Highwa;y Depsrtment.s action declining to <br />post 30 MPH signs because of llll1'veys previously made showing this to be inadvisable, <br />and that it would be fruitless to approach it again on this snbject. However, it <br />waa mggested that he could sponsor a petition asking for the desired relief. <br />He stated that the heavy stream of fast-moving north-iound traffic makes it djjf'i- <br />cult and hazardous for him to enter the southbound lane. <br /> <br />S!l'ANDINGComiJIrEE REPORTS: Sirens; Signs; Flares 1'01' Constables: Graf:f'under <br />reported on these items ptluuant to an assignment given him as the previous co~ <br />cil meeting.
