Doepner reported that a meeting of this co_ttee 'llhicl!l he <br />called for .Aug. 23rd had to be cancelled because Mr. Mack had another appoint- <br />ment. He then arranged for a meeting of this committee for Wednesda;y evening, <br />Augl 27th, at his home. Also that he contacted the COlUlty Assessor's office and <br />was told that the village's 1952 assessed values would be ready ~st 26th. <br />Public Safety: Ch. Mack reported on new traffic tickets, "Notice of <br />Illegal l!tquipment," and ri!Jj:lt fender lights for constables' cau. By motion <br />of Mack seconded by Delange, the council authorized the Puqlio Safet;r Committee <br />to purchase the following for the village: <br /> <br />2000 traffic tickets in triplicate in books of 25 each (BO books) <br />at $62.50, the form to be the same as used by the Ramsey COlUlty <br />she ri ff's <br /> <br />500 duplicate sets of "Notice of Illegal Equipment" at ~5.00 <br /> <br /> <br />from Bamaley Printing Co. perquotation No. 17Bl, dated Aug. 22, 1952. <br /> <br />Also two right fender Broadway lights for constables' cars. <br /> <br />':ro supplement their statlltory fees Ch. Mack proposed that the village <br />R!l. each constable $50.00 per month f'or the months of .1p11'il thru November, and <br />$15.00 per month for December. January, Febru.ary, and March, each to pay for <br />his gas. '!'he Public Safe1\}' Committee was apparentl,y not in agreement on this <br />proposal, Vic Weber favored $150.00 per month to each constable, wb.ile DelaDge <br />was noIlJ:lommi tal as to the alllOlUlt, nor were the constables agreeable to 1he pro_ <br />posed arrangement. 'lherefore, at the suggestion of the Chairman of the Finanee <br />Committee the ~estion was referred to it for consideration. <br /> <br />The question of whether the Village of New Brighton or the Village of <br />Arden Hills is enti tled to the fines .assessed for traffic violations on HighwlliY <br />No. B, was referred to Village Attorney Courtney for opinion. <br /> <br />By motion of Delange seconded by 1!ack the cooncil authorized Vic <br />Weber as member of the Pu.blic Safety Committee to purchase for the village <br />two pairs of handcuffs and tWl billies for its constables' me. <br /> <br />Pu.blic Welfare: Ch. McClung reported that this committee met on <br />Satl1rday, August ,and called at the Twin City Trailer Coach Park by the <br />Arden Hills Club Cafe at Highway B, and found sanitary conditions adequf4te. <br /> <br />SPECIAL COMMIi"mES: <br /> <br />.
