CONSENT ITEM - 8G <br />,-ARZEN HILLS <br />MEMORANDUM <br />DATE: July 22, 2024 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br />FROM: Dave Perrault, City Administrator <br />SUBJECT: Appoint Interim City Administrator <br />Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source: <br />N/A TBD Various Funds <br />Council Should Consider <br />Motions to approve, table, or deny the following: <br />• Appointment of Interim City Administrator <br />Background <br />Under a different agenda item the Council will be accepting the City Administrator's resignation <br />with a last day of August 9th. The Personnel Committee recently discussed how to best move <br />forward with the City Administrator vacancy and is recommending Jessica Jagoe, the current <br />Community Development Director, to serve in the interim capacity. This approval would provide <br />for the interim capacity to last until revoked by the City Council or notice by Mrs. Jagoe that she <br />no longer wishes to serve in the interim capacity; it is anticipated it will last until at least the end of <br />the year. This approval will also include out of class pay for Mrs. Jagoe in the amount of an <br />additional fifteen percent of her normal salary. Pending approval, Mrs. Jagoe would begin her <br />interim duties effective at the end of the workday on August 9th following the current City <br />Administrator's departure and would have the duties and authority normally attributed to the City <br />Administrator. <br />Budget Impact <br />The exact budget impact is unknown but will be more than offset by the vacancy of the City <br />Administrator. <br />Attachments <br />N/A <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />
