<br />111 <br /> <br />Page #2 <br /> <br />Minutes of Regular Meeting of the council of " the Village of <br />Arden Hills, Minnesota, Tuesday, February 24, 1953. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Public Works _ Chairman DeLange reported that load limit signs <br />would soon be set up on the roads and suggested that notices be <br />inserted in the Rose Tribune and Pioneer Press warning residents <br />of the Village to bring in fuel and building supplies before the <br />limits go into effect. He reported that the county puts up the <br />signs on a rental basis. McClung moved and Ludlow seconded a <br />motion that the load limit signs"be placed on the same basis as <br />in the spring of 1952. - carried. <br /> <br />McClung moved and Ludlow seconded a motion" that DeLange be <br />appointed weed inspector for the year 1953. - carried. <br /> <br />Public Welfare - No report. <br /> <br />Civil Defense - No report. <br />Clerk - No renort. <br /> <br />Treasurer's Report _ The ~reasurer reported a balance of about <br />$7000. <br /> <br />The Justice of the Peace submitted his report for the month. <br /> <br />McClung moved and DeLange seconded a motion that the maps of <br />the proposed new highways to go through the Village should be <br />referred to the Connittees on Planninf~ a~d Public Works - carried. <br />Mayor Cummings read the resolution accompanying the maps. <br /> <br />The Village Attorney reported regarding the zoning of land on <br />which Mr. Jack Sinna is requesting permission to build. The use <br />to which it would be put properly comes under the business zoning <br />classification. Rezoning would not be necessary. The Plap~ing <br />COlTll11ittee will consider the request for permit. <br /> <br />De Lang moved and McClung seconded a motion that Mr. Glen Peterson's <br />name be submitted for the job of Village Assessor - carried. <br /> <br />The Clerk read for the second time the ordinance prOhibiting the <br />use of basement homes for human habitation. After amendments were <br />offered DeLange moved and McClmlg seconded a motion that the <br />ordinance be accepted - carried. <br /> <br />. The Clerk read for the first time the ordinance regarding platting <br />of property within the Village. Changes were suggested and noted. <br /> <br />The Clerk read a letter to ]\T. W.
