The meetinp: V'AS called. to order at 3:00 P.M. by Mayor Cumlllinp;s. <br /> Roll Call: Cum.':'1inp;s, Mc Clunp, Mack, Ludlow, present - De LanF',e, <br /> absent. <br /> Mr. Ralph Hunt of 1450 Skiles Lane appeared to request the ex- <br /> tension of a culvert. After discussion Mack moved and Mc Clunr; <br /> seconded a motion that a six foot extension be put on the culvert <br /> in question - carried. <br /> Otto Graffunder of 1567 Oak Ave. likewise requested that repairs <br /> and an extension be made on the culvert at Oak Ave. and Lake <br /> Johanna Blvd. Mack moved and Ludlow seconded a motion the <br /> necessary repairs and extension be made - carried. <br /> Ch. of the Finance Committee, Ludlow pres,nted the proposed <br /> budget for the Village for 1954. In dmscussion Mack objected <br /> to the proposed 8750.00 allocated to the Planning Committee on <br /> the grounds that no report had been submitted to the Council by <br /> the Planning Committee. Mack moved and Ludlow seconded a motion <br /> including ~300.00for Civil Defense in the budp;et for Public <br /> Welfare - carried. Mack mOved that the1951~ budr;et for the <br /> Village be accepted as submitted vlith the exception of the $750 <br /> allocated to the Planning Committee. There was no second to <br /> the motion. Ludlov! moved that the motion be tabled. Mc Clung <br /> seconded and with Mack voting contrary, the motion carried. <br /> Ludlow then moved and Mc Clung seconded a motion that the Village <br /> Council accept the 1954 budget for $17,500. which is to include <br /> the ,gOO,.OO for Civil Defense. Mack objected in sofar as in- <br /> cludingthe ~750.00 for the Planning Committee, but the motion <br /> carried. <br /> , <br /> Justice of the Peace, Graffunder submitted his report for the <br /> month. <br /> Public Safety: Ch. Mc Clung reminded the Council that the new <br /> . fire protection contracts would soon be requiring official action. <br /> Public Works: Ch. absent <br /> Public Welfare: Ch. Mack had nothing to report <br />
