Hanilton of the American <br /> Munitcipal Association in which Mr. Hamilton promised his support <br /> of the Village in its efforts to secure more tax money from the <br /> . Arms Plant. . <br /> The Clerk il!8ad a letter from Walter Booth's announcill.';: the print- <br /> in~ of an appendix to the 191,9 edition of the Village Manual. <br /> Mc Clung moved and lcack seconded a motion authorizin~ the Clerk .... <br /> to purchase an appendix - carried. <br /> t~. Mc Clung complimented the Mayor for his efforts on behalf of <br /> the Villa~e in his attempt to secure more tax revenue from the <br /> New Brighton Arms Plant. He added that he wished him all <br /> success. <br /> The Clerk read a letter tendering her resignation, but inasmuch <br /> as there was no one immediately'able to take over the dutlltes of <br /> the office, action WRS deferred. <br /> The Treasurer renorted it would be to the best interests of the <br /> Village to nut 3F10,OOO of Village Funds on time deposit. Mc Clung <br /> moved and Mack seconded a motion the suggested amount be put on <br /> time deposit at the best interest rates available - carried. <br /> Justice of the Peace, Graffunder, submitted his reSignation be- <br /> cause of the press of business affairs. Me Clunl'", moved and Mack <br /> seconded a motion the resignation be accepted. The Council <br /> thanked Mr. Graffunder for the fine job he had done as Justice <br /> of the Peace. All residents of the Villa~e who had occasion to <br /> visit his court appreciate the fair manner in which it was held. <br /> Mr. Wm. Krautkremer was suggested as a possible fill-in for the <br /> unexpired tem of J!r. Graffunder. Mr. Graffunder endorsed such <br /> a move. Ludlow moved an (1 Mc Clung seconded a motion appointing <br /> Wm. Krautkremer as Justice of the Peace to fill the unexpired <br /> term of Otto Graffunder. -carried. <br /> Village Attorney - Mr. Courtney read a letter inquiring into <br /> the legality of shooting air rifles withifi the Village limits. <br /> . After discussion the Council requested Mr.Collrney to inquire <br /> into St. Paul ordinances on the above subject. <br /> Mr. Courtney suggested that a le3sing ag~eement be drawn up on <br /> the police C8rs. <br /> .~--_._- - <br />
