Roll Call: All Council members present. The !rlinutes of the meeting of September 28, 1953 were read by the - clerk. Mack moved and Mc Clung seconded a motion the minutes be approved as read - carried. Jerome Wasielewski asked the Council's opinion on the possibility of a prospective resident landing a sea plane on Lake Johanna. Although there is no specific ordinance covering such a situation, the Council thought it inadvisable for any resident to so infringe on the rights of other residents. Mr. Carley asked that the plat for the roads in Josephine Hills be accepted by the Council ann the property be rezoned residential. Ludlow moved and De Lange seconded a motion the plat for the roads in Josephine Hills be accepted with the exception of the following intersections: Tiller Lane & Carleton Drive Dunlap st. &'Tiller Lane Fernwood Ave. & Carleton Drive The motion carried; the Council requested a print of the plat be sent to the clerk. The Clerk read a letter and report from the Planning Committee. The Mayor sUlsgested that Council members ponder suggestions made by the committee. Public Safety: Ch. Mc Clung submitted an ordinance relating to grass and brush fires and burninft of trash for its first reading. The ordinanCe was ref'erred to Mr. Courtney for cheCking and suggestions. Mc Clung moven end Ludlow seconded a motion the present salary arrangements for the police officers be continued throu".h the . month of November - carried; Mc Clung moved ann. De Lange seconded a motion authorizing the police officers to nurchase rain wear at a cost not to exceed i'il15.00 each.
