Roll Call: All Council members present. <br /> The !rlinutes of the meeting of September 28, 1953 were read by the - <br /> clerk. Mack moved and Mc Clung seconded a motion the minutes be <br /> approved as read - carried. <br /> Jerome Wasielewski asked the Council's opinion on the possibility <br /> of a prospective resident landing a sea plane on Lake Johanna. <br /> Although there is no specific ordinance covering such a situation, <br /> the Council thought it inadvisable for any resident to so infringe <br /> on the rights of other residents. <br /> Mr. Carley asked that the plat for the roads in Josephine Hills <br /> be accepted by the Council ann the property be rezoned residential. <br /> Ludlow moved and De Lange seconded a motion the plat for the roads <br /> in Josephine Hills be accepted with the exception of the following <br /> intersections: <br /> Tiller Lane & Carleton Drive <br /> Dunlap st. &'Tiller Lane <br /> Fernwood Ave. & Carleton Drive <br /> The motion carried; the Council requested a print of the plat be <br /> sent to the clerk. <br /> The Clerk read a letter and report from the Planning Committee. <br /> The Mayor sUlsgested that Council members ponder suggestions made <br /> by the committee. <br /> Public Safety: Ch. Mc Clung submitted an ordinance relating to <br /> grass and brush fires and burninft of trash for its first reading. <br /> The ordinanCe was ref'erred to Mr. Courtney for cheCking and <br /> suggestions. <br /> Mc Clung moven end Ludlow seconded a motion the present salary <br /> arrangements for the police officers be continued throu".h the <br /> . month of November - carried; <br /> Mc Clung moved ann. De Lange seconded a motion authorizing the <br /> police officers to nurchase rain wear at a cost not to exceed <br /> i'il15.00 each. <br />
