<br />152 <br /> <br />-2~ <br /> <br />Minutes of Re~ular Meeting, Council of the Village of Arden Hills <br /> <br />Tuesday, June 1, 1954 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />carried unanimously. <br />telegram <br />The mayor read a XR~~Br from Senator Edward Thye informing former <br />mayor, Cummings, of a hearing in Washington on a bill to provide <br />for payments by the Federal Government to local taxing units <br />adversely affected by Federal acquisition, ovmership, or use of <br />defense production facilities. After discussion Mc Clung moved <br />the mayor be authorized to expend such SQffiS as may be necessary <br />to send a representative of the village ~o appear at the above <br />mentioned hearing. Mack seconded - the motion carried. <br /> <br />John Carley submitted~ a road plan and letter for action by the <br />planning committee. <br /> <br />Claims #418 thru #431 were read by the clerk. Ludlow moved and <br />Mack seconded a motion the claims be approved - carried. <br /> <br />Ludlow moved and Mc Clunr;~ 8 motion accepting the second reading <br />of the Burning Ordinance - carried. <br /> <br />Mc Clung moved and Mack seconded a motion accepting the first <br />reading of the Boating Ordinance - carried. <br /> <br />The ordinance on dogs was referred to the co~mittee on pUblic <br />safety. <br /> <br />Study of a leaky load limit was referred to the committee on <br />public welfare. <br /> <br />A letter from the Ordinance Dept. of the Federal Government was <br />read in which they stated that to allow the Village of Arden <br />Hills to connect with the sewage disposal system for the Twin <br />City Arsenal at some future date, would seriously jepordise the <br />system. A copy of the letter was filed with the clerk. <br /> <br />Mc Clung moved and Ludlow seconded a motion the meeting be ad- <br />journed - carried.
