!~jor Kellar encouraged the committee to investigate the possibility 186 of Arden Hills hook-up with the plant sewer. and for the removal of the fence around Round Lake. He suggested we contact Rosemont in regards to powder storage for tae DuPont Compacy. Dr. Hoyt recoDDllended that we wait the two months on the air raid alarm system, that we open negotiations cOllCerning Round Lake and the sewer . hook-up, and to remove powder storage to RoselllOnt if possible. ~or Ashbach moved that the committee continue negotiations on the above three points and report to the Council in the future. Stromquist seconded and the motion was carried. Mayor Ashbach presented a letter to Dr. Hoyt from Valentine Hills residents for zoning committee consideration. Mayor I S Report I Mayor Ashbach stated that the matter concerning the Melina residence was completed and the certificate was given Clerk. Hoyt moved and DeLange seconded the motion :blI. the Clerk and Mayor silJ!l the certificate. Motion passed. DeLe:nge moved and Stromquist seconded the motion we authorize proper officials to sign for permission to put telephone poles on 'vi ~"-~c'- ave. Motion passed. McCIUllg stated he had attended the Town and Oountry Committee and Legislative Committee of Ramsey County meeting concerning road fund allotment. Mayor Ashbach suggested Clerk send Council members the eurrent budget balance for tae various departments each month. so as to try to keep all spending within ths budget. After Council discnesion, Clerk was requested . to do so. Y~or Ashbach appointed Mr. McClung to attend the meeting April 4. 1955 regarding Police radio system. and requested any other Council members to attend if possible. Clerk's Report-Mrs. Stromquist requested a special meeting for April 5. at 8100 for dieeuesllng the installation of natural gas for Arden Hills.
