Kimley»>Horn <br />411M,!_111111l_\:RIIIIII a •7_A 9 � <br />a <br />The 2024 AUAR Update focused on issues that required specific mitigation measures as <br />noted in the 2014 Final AUAR, that had changes in applicable regulations, or that had <br />changes occur in the study area. For other issue areas, the analysis that was completed in <br />2014 and 2019 remained valid. The areas updated were: <br />• Cover types <br />• Land use <br />• Water resources <br />• Contamination/hazardous materials/solid wastes <br />• Fish, plant communities, and sensitive ecological resources <br />• Visual <br />• Transportation <br />AUAR Update Comment Period <br />The AUAR Update was published in the EQB Monitor on May 14, 2024 for agency and <br />public comment, and comments were accepted through May 29, 2024. Comment letters <br />were received from the Metropolitan Council and the Minnesota Department of Natural <br />Resources (DNR). No objections were filed. Comments were responded to and incorporated <br />into the AUAR Update. The comment letters and associated responses are included in <br />Attachments C and D of the AUAR Update, respectively. <br />Changes to the Mitigation Plan <br />The mitigation plan was updated to reflect the updated analysis and comments received. Nc <br />new mitigation measures were identified for cover types, land use, water resources, or <br />contamination/hazardous materials/solid wastes. Mitigation measures were added for fish, <br />plant communities, and sensitive ecological resources; visual; and transportation (see Table <br />8 of the AUAR Update). <br />Next Steps <br />After adoption by the City Council, a notice of adoption will be published in the EQB Monitor. <br />The AUAR Update will remain valid for an additional five years. <br />
