<br />'J1'r:- <br />,,:_0) <br /> <br />~,IIlrUTBS OF I~C~GljLAH hIE::.::;rlll_L\G <br />COUNCIL OF T1lli VILLAGE OF ARDEN HILIS <br />Iilonday, March 25, 1957 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to ol'der at 8:05 P.I;;. by IHayor Ashbach. <br />ROLL CALL: Fresent; AShbach, Delange, Hoyt, Stromquist. <br />Absent; 'Hinfrey. <br />The Linutes of the meeting of February 25, 1957 were read by Hoyt and <br />approved by the Council. <br /> <br />Mr. Perry Copland appeal'ed representing Ide's. Gharlot'ce Daley. IiIl'. Copland <br />.requested a thil'ty day extension of time before Council takes action to close <br />he Daley c~og kennel. After Coc;ncil discussion Hoyt moved and Delange sec- <br />onded the motion we instruct the Village Attorney to start action to require <br />compliance with the Village Ordinance, and for At torney to s tart the ac tion <br />in fifteen days from present date. Motion passed. <br /> <br />Xr. Lyle Carpenter and lfx. Wasielewski reported that water is running into <br />.I;heir yards from Johanna Blvd. Er. Delange moved, I\lrs. Stromquist seconded <br />the motion tha t we wr i te to tIle Gountly Engineer and reques t tha t the matter <br />be investigated by the county. Motion passed. Kayor Ashbach to write letter. <br /> <br />);.'Il'. George Oster was informed that no action has been taken as yet upon his <br />~pplication for Village Plumbing Inspector. <br /> <br />l.:r. Kenneth Sparks was informed that when his cOlntdttee comes to <br />with a recommendation for the proposed playground for Arden Hills <br />will act upon it. <br /> <br />Counc il <br />#2, Council <br /> <br />Iilrs. Stromquist presented a petition which had been filed ~~xxx March 14, <br />1957 by Carl Langer and D. F. Kennedy requesting that Arden Hills Village <br />call an election for the purpose of annexing the following described <br />ter.ri tOl'Y: <br />All of Section Twenty eight, 'rownship 'rhirty North, Hange Twe:lty \iest <br />oxcel"G the Last one-ll..alf of the East one-half 8.nd the Northwest ,.ual'ter of <br />Northeast quarter which lies within the Village of Arden H~lls and <br /> <br />All of Section Thirt~,-three, Township Thirty North, Range Twenty;,est <br />except t}le Bast one-half of the :Last one-:r.alf which lies within the Village <br />of Al'den tlills and except the West one-r.alf of the North ..;;est quarter <br />which lies. wi thin the Village of New El'ighton <br />containing in all 840 acres. <br />An Open I.:eetir:g on the proposed annexat5_on of the area was set 1'01' April 1, <br />1957 at 8:00 P,lJI. at the Village Hall. Clerk tp put notice in lIlose T!'ibune. <br /> <br />A petition Vias presented Council to reqc;.est tI1e lowel'ing of Edgewater Ave. <br />to provide proper drainage. ;vTl'. Carley, Village Engineer, was requested to <br />.have completed report on the cost and specifications for the request at the <br />next meeting. <br /> <br />:::r.
