There has been no new appointment to that pos:ition. Hr. Ralph Hunt is the Civil Defense Director for Arden Hills. llr. Henry Crepeau. l:ayor Ashbach reported on the 1957 aD~ual village budget, and the proposed 1958 budget, which is to have Council approval by SepteIlber 30, 1957. The Hayor stated th8.t to date our village roads have been oil surfaced, but that perhaps the time has come to consider a plan to put on amore permanent surface on SODe of the roads. He suggested ~ possible plan for financing the project of the village paying a certain portion, and the restdents .owning adjoining property betng assessed for a portion of the cost. No action Has taken on the request to lower Edgewater Ave. Mayor Ashbach "ill check into the possj_bili ty of getting a reduction on the proposed cost of the pro:tject by salvaging some of the material that vould be removed. Mrs. Stromquist presented the administrative ~~d general proposed 1958 budget.
