<br />MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING <br />COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF ARDEN HILLS <br />Monday, April 2g, 195B <br /> <br />In the absenoe of the Mayor and the Aoting Mayor, the meeting was oalled <br />to order by Trustee Winfrey. <br /> <br />Roll Call: Present; Winfrey, Crepeau, Stromquist <br />Absent; Ashbaoh. DeLange <br /> <br />The Minutes for the' April 14; i9SB and April 24, 19S9 meetings of the Council <br />4Ifere read and approved. <br /> <br />Mr. Richard Meyers, Attorney for Mounds View Township presented the Arden <br />Hills Counoil with a quit olaim deed on lots 1,2,3 & 4 of Auditor's subdivis- <br />ion gO in Arden Hills. <br /> <br />Mr. Richard Hoffman and Mr. Dahlin inquired of progress of the proposed <br />Edgewater Ave. road improvement. <br /> <br />Upon motion by Stromquist, seoonded by Winfrey, Mr. Art Weigal, 1427 Arden <br />Plaoe was given permission, due to emergency cesspool oonditions, to have <br />gravel haule4 to his house over a posted village street, Arden Place, the <br />permission subject to approval by Village Attorney Courtney. Motion passed. <br /> <br />After Council disoussion and the reoommendation of Clay Kelley, Bldg. Insp., <br />motion was made by Winfrey, seconded by Crepeau that Clerk be authorized <br />to approve a building pe~it with a 7 foot side yar4 for Mr. Delbert <br />Fisher if he brings written permission from both adjacent property owners <br />to the lot. Motion passed. <br /> <br />Engineer Carley submitted plans for a tennis court at the village property <br />in the Shorewood Hills plat. Mr. Carley recommended that it not be built <br />at present as the cost would be too high. <br /> <br />Engineer Carley submitted plans for the developement of the Kenna property <br />as a playground. Plans filed with Clerk. <br /> <br />Upon motion by Stromquist seoonded by Crepeau, Mr. Kenneth Sparks was <br />appointed to represent ArAen Hills Village to work with Mounds View School <br />District to set up a reoreational program. Motion passed. A suggestion <br />from Mr. Harison, Mounds View School reoreational Direotor, that we set up <br />some bow and arow targets was referred to Mr. Crepaaus committee. <br /> <br />A request for a double house permit by Mr. Russell Herman, 3833 New Brighton <br />Roali was referred to Mr. Winfrey's oommittee., . . <br /> <br />.Attorney's report: an ernest money contraot for the Kenna property was ex- <br />plained to Council by Attorney and filed with Clerk.. Mr. Courtney did not <br />recommend Councilaotion on the contract at present. <br /> <br />The Finance Committee was requested to make recommendations to the Counoil <br />in regard to payment of 1957 taxes on the Kenna property, and also on the <br />advisability of holding up the contract for the Kenna property so as to <br />issue a joint bond for the Kenna property and th~ Village hall. A $500.00 <br />down payment must be approv~d by Council at the May ~ meeting if we are <br />to purchase the Kenna property at that date. <br />
