<br />Upon motion by Stromquist, seoonded bY,Winfrey, the attached resolution <br />in regard to issuance of bonds fo~ the Kenna property was passed. Motion <br />passed. . <br /> <br />Upon motion by Stromquist, seconded by Crepeau Claim #1370 was approved for <br />payment. Motion passed. <br /> <br />Attorney Courtney was authorized to send a letter and $500.00 check to Mr. <br />Kenna as down payment for the property purchase. <br /> <br />Upon motion by Winfrey, seconded by Stromquist, the Ernest Money Contract <br />~Of Sale of the Kenna paz property was approved. Motion passed. <br /> <br />Mr. Courtney presented Council with a letter in regard to the title to <br />the village hall. Attorney to check further into the matter and report <br />back to the Council. <br /> <br />Upon motion by AShbach, seconded by WinfreYl Aahbach was authorized to <br />lift the weight restrictions on village roans. Motion passed. <br /> <br />Mayor Ashbach stated it might be wise to spot oil village streets as needed <br />rather than oiling all the streets this coming summer. He will check with <br />Village Engineer and report back to Council. <br /> <br />Public Welfare: Mr. Herman's request to build a duplex at 3g33 New Brighton <br />Roa! was denied for the present time as duplexes are not allowed under our <br />existing Zoning Ordinance,. . <br />Mr. Winfrey reported that there is public access to Lake Josephine at Co. <br />Rd. D West from the Depot Nite Club. <br /> <br />Building Inspector Kelley questioned our existing Zoning Ordinance in regard <br />to side yards on corner lots. The matter was referred to the Welfare Committ <br />ee. <br /> <br />An Open Meeting on the zoning of the newly annexed area was set for May 26, <br />1955. Clerk to put notice in the Rose Tribune. . <br /> <br />Upon motion by Winfrey, seconded by Stromquist, Claim #1371 was approved for <br />payment. Clerk to send the check to Attonrey when it is prepared. <br /> <br />Council requested Attorney to draft an ordinance allowing liquor licensing <br />in the village.' <br /> <br />An ordinance regulating use of motor boats was given Council members for <br />study. <br /> <br />A letter from Mayor Stan1aske to Twin Cities Arsenal officials was filed with <br />~Clerk records. <br /> <br />Clerk was requested to call Mrs. Blank 1n regard to a name change for Co.
