<br />Public Welfare Committee: The proposed plat of Shorewood Hills #7 was referred to the Public <br />Welfare Committee. <br />Upon motion by Winfrey, seconded by Stromquist an ordinance amending the Building Code was <br />introduced by title. motion passed, <br /> <br />Upon motion by Winfrey, seconded by Kennedy, an ordinance condemning ce:btain buildings was <br />introduced by title. Motion passejl. <br /> <br />Mr. Winfrey infonned recreation represnetative Ken Sparks that because the amount of money <br />allol:fed in the budget for lighting the Lake Johanna skating rink was $250,00 and the project cost <br />the village $307.00, that he try to make up the difference by spending that much less in 1959. <br /> <br />&erk's Report: Upon motion by Stromquist, seconded by Crepeau, the following appointments were <br />_de for 1959: Clay Kelley, Building Inspector; Ed Salverda, Electrical Inspector; Harry Thompson, <br />Heating Inspector; Winfield West, Plumbing Inspector. Motion passed. <br /> <br />Upon motion by Kennedy, seconded by Crepeau, the New Brighton Bank was named official depository <br />for 1959. Motion passed. <br /> <br />Upon motion by Crepeau, seconded by Kennedy, Hans Prechtel was appointed village assessor for <br />1959. Motion passed. <br /> <br />Upon motion by Stromquist, seconded by Crepeau, Margaret Steinkraus was appointed deputy clerk <br />for the year 1959. Motion passed. <br /> <br />Upon motion by Crepeau, seconded by Kennedy, the offer of John Bell to publich the legal notices <br />of Arden Hills for the year 1959 was accepted.
