.

.

32

for the Council, but feeling the attitude of the audience here

.
this evening I believe that you're going to see much more of that
in the future in this entire southeast part cf the village where
somebody will come in and ask for sewer in this 2 or 3 block
area for example. It would be referred fer survey and report. The
report will state it shouldn't be made to take care of just this
2 blocks but should best be made t( take care of an entire

development for example and I think we wi 11 have a minimizing in
this manner of a piecemeal situation.
DR. HARVEY H. HOYT, 1565 Glenhill Road: I believe Mr.
Popovich pointed out there were considerations given in regard to
the benefit of property. What is the situation where commercial
property is concerned?
MR. POPOVICH: That comes in the rates and charges ordinance
that cernes afterwards and different charges are made acccrding
to the use of the material. As to the assessments, what yw have
to do is look at the property and what's on it and what the property
is used fer and you go by the benefit rule. The property is not
really benefited any more than a home but in the use they would
be benef i ted .

DR. HOYT: ~~at if their sewage is of the amount that you have
to increase the size of th~ lateral?
MR. POPOVICH: We've run into this in small towns where you
have a creamery. You may have a town of 500 with a creamery but that
one creamery may use the equivalent cf lOCO people. That is where
you have an unusual type of industry, but ;you don't have that out
here.

DR. HOYT: We have a scheol on the end of a lateral.
