.

.

31

we will have an informal hearing about it and discuss it end let
you know what we can do about it. The Council will be cognizant
of that suggestion and we will go into it a5 soon as possible
and we will let you know what we decide.
HR. ADOLPH MEYER, 1680 Lake Johanna Slve: I'm in fabor of
the project. I think about 90% pe of cur drain fields are improperly
constructed and that's one reason we have that much trcuble. As
additional areas desire sewer set ups, will those come in separately,
require separate financing, bond issues?
MR. POPOVICH: The same procedure will apply on each improvement
as we are using now.
MR. MEYER: It's a question in my mind as to whether the best
thing to do is tc try to hurry in with a larger area so that there
would be uniform assessments.
~R. POPCVICH: I hate to see just little small areas ~ome in.
The same thing would have happened in Roseville if we had taken
smaller areas. We would have had $15.00 or $16.00 in some areas.
MR. BANISTER: Let's clarify the petition pocedure. tet's
say up here cn Ridgewood a few of those homes come in and petition
fer sewer. Under theprocedu~e that's folloNed, the Council normally
will receive that petition and if they decide to carry it further
it's referred to the engineer for a study and report. That
study and report must state that the project should go in .as
petitioned for or it should state the project should best not be
made as petitioned for but should be enlarged to take in more area.
Then you get the matter of additional areas - additional number of
people to use it and you will minimize the piecemeal situation.
I would venture to say, although I'm not in any position to speak
