Council suggested that Winfrey request Mr. Jones, to check proposed Ordinance #38 ald also to l"k turn around and proposed footpath and present his the Council. Planning Consultant, over the Ridgewood Court opinion on the mattar to Public Safety Committee: Crepeau reported a meeting with Po1ioe Department. They requested another policeman and a raise in salaries. Crepeau reoommended .a $12.50 per month salary increase with possible extra help for police force during busy summer months. Upon motion by Crepeau, seoonded by Winfey, Officers Wasielewski and Wolf and Police Chief We~er were granted a $12.50 per month salary increase, effective February 1, 1959 thru Dec. 31, 1959. Motion passed. Mayor's Report: Mayor Ashbach stated that Fiscal Agent Peter Popovioh wishes to meet with Council to discuss finanoing of proposed sewer for S.E. part of the village. a meeting was tentatively set for February 12, 1959. Mayor Ashbach reported a problem of billboards within village and suggested a possible tax on billboards. The matter was referred to the Finance Committee. Mayor Ash~aoh suggested that Village Hall might be improved in some ways. Mayor AShbach to discuss the matter with Gerald Buetow, an( archtect who is a resident of the village. Mayor Ashbaoh suggested the possibility of a full time employee to help road commissioner. Matter referred to Public Works Committee.
