May 25, 19;)9.. <br /> <br />T he meeting was called to order at 8aOO P.M. by Mayor Ashbach. <br />Roll Calla Present; AShbach, Crepeau, Kennedy, Delange, Stromquist. <br />Absent; None. . <br />The Minutes of the May 9, 1959 meeting were read and approved. <br /> <br />.Mayor Ashbach called the public hearing to order to consider the rezoning <br />of Lot 13, Block 2, Dalsorer Addition from R-1Residential to C- Commercial. <br />No one appeared for the hearing. Mr. Kennedy reported that the land had <br />been rezoned to residential in error when the area was zoned after annex- <br />ation to Arden Hilla Village. Motion made by Kennedy, seconded by Crepeau <br />that an ~rdinance Amending the Zoning Oddinance to Rezone to Commercial <br />Property Described as Lot 13, Block 2, Dalsorer Addition, Ramsey County <br />be given first reading. Motion passed. <br /> <br />Mr. Don Gode requested an informal meeting with Council for residents to <br />ask additional ~uestions on proposed sewer improvement. A meeting was set <br />by Council for Thursday, May 28, 19;)9 at 8:00 P.M. at the Village Hall. <br /> <br />The Engineer's plan for parking area and turn around at Glenarden Road <br />in the village playground was referred to Recreation Chariman Pomerenke <br />and to the Public Welfare Committee. <br /> <br />A new road milage list was submitted by Engineer Bill Dolan. Mr. Dolan <br />alas submitted a road map for Council approval. Map was referre4 back to <br />Engineer to list unplatted roads on it also, as the map is to be used by <br />Fire Department. <br /> <br />Attorney Courtney was requested to discuss an easement for turn around. <br />at Lake Lane with attorney for Rose Baileff. <br /> <br />A letter on cost estimite for unplatted road from Hamline Avenue to <br />proposed Husby1s Crestview plat was filed with Clerk. <br /> <br />Mr. Pat Sweeney inquired about the deed restrictions held by residents of <br />Arden Hills Plat. Attorney informed him that they are not enforcable by <br />Village Council. Mr. Sweeney objected to stray dogs in the neighborhood <br />and to rubbish in neighbor's yards. Public Safety Department to cheek into <br />the matter. <br /> <br />Mr. Krannak informed Council that if he is to leave undeveloped, the part <br />of his proposed Shorewood Hills 7 plat that may be taken by the Minnesota <br />~ighway Dept, it will mean he must leave 90% of his land vacant. His <br />~Attorney, Mr. Clayburn and his Engineer, Mr. Wolfgram discussed the matter <br />with Council, and felt that the highway may not even go in in that proposed <br />location. Village Attorney Courtney suggested Council tr~ to get a <br />letter of committment from the Highway Dept as to how definite their plans <br />are for the proposed highway. Matter referred to Mayor Ashbach and Attorney <br />Courtney. <br /> <br />Attorney's Report: Attorney Courtney reported he has prepared a deed to <br />the land at Registered Land Survey '112 at Cummings Lane and has sent <br />it out to be signed by the developer, Mr. Gerald Skildum. Courtney was <br />authorized by Council to pay the Approximately $5.00 tax bill for 1958 <br />
