Donald Roberts and Richard Weber applied <br /> for building permit for cabinet shop at County Road E, 1/4 mile west of <br /> Lexington Avenue, bordering Soo-Line iracks. Kennedy reported that <br /> business would be factory for furniture plus retail outlet so would fall <br /> into commercial classification as land is presently zoned. Motion made <br /> . by Delange, seconded by Crepeau that building permit be approved by <br /> Council subject to approval by building inspector of detailed building <br /> plans and layout. Motion passed. <br /> ~ letter from John Nesky was read requesting that balance of his land at <br /> Highway 96 and at Highway #10 be zoned aommercial. Matter referred to <br /> Public Welfare Committee. Motion made by Kennedy, seconded by DeLange <br /> that resolution, as attached, reI sewage for N. W. portion of Village <br /> be approved. Motion passed. <br /> PUBLIC SAFETY: Proposed uniform county burning ordinance was referred to <br /> Village attorney for study. <br /> Mayor's Report: Ashbach reported appointment of an informal committee to <br /> study sewer problems for Sewer Improvement #1 and 2 areas. <br /> Mayor Ashbach stated he had taken no action to change traditional date of <br /> Halloween for the Village of Arden Hills. <br /> . Mayor Ashbaoh reported he has a meeting with Minneapolis City Engineer <br /> in regard to lease of Twin Cities Arsenal sewer. <br /> Mayor Ashbaeh reported Council should give consideration and study to <br /> appointment of a sewer engineer for northern portion of Village. <br /> Clerk's Re1ort: Upon motion by Stromquist, seconded by Crepeau, applica- <br /> tion of Ga lagher's Service for Garbage and Rubbish hauling license was <br /> approved subject to approval of Village Health officer. Motion passed. <br /> A copy of a St. Paul Resolution re: Sanitary sewer improvement 1, Pro- <br /> jects 1 and 2 was referred to Attorney Courtney. <br /> Stromquist reported a complaint received of installation of a new sign <br /> at Highway #10 south of Lakeshore Place which is in violation of ordinance, <br /> and reported that those companies requesting permission to erect signs are <br /> . denied the request while others who erect them without permission are not <br /> penalized. Matter referred to Public Safety Committee. <br /> A model well ordinance and other literature submitted by Village Health <br /> Officer was referred to Public Welfare Committee. <br /> A letter from Ramsey County Machine Accounting Division reI Zoning <br /> classifications was referred to Publica Welfare Committee. <br /> .
