. MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING COUNCIL OF VILIAGEOF ARDEN HILLS MONDAY, NOVEMBER :30, 1959 The meeting was called to order at 8:00 p.m. by Mayor Ashbach. Roll call: Present; Ashbach, Crepeau, Kennedy, Delange, Stromquist Absent; none ~ The minutes of the November 9, 1959 meeting were read and approved. Mr. Gaughan requested and receiged a hearing before the Public Wel- fare Committee to present his request for a building permit to erect a Texaco station on his commercial property at County Road D and Oave- land Avenue. Trustee Kennedy to set date of hearing. Petitions requesting sewer connections for the Valentine Hills area and Shorewood Hills area were presented Council by Morris Rheaume, 1751 Glenview Avenue. The petitions were referred to attorney Courtney. Upon motion by DeLange, seconded by crepeau, a change order on Sanitary Sewer Improvement 1, Project 1 and 2 as approved by Engineer Short to use 60' cast iron pipe instead of clay pipe at County Road D and Snel- ling was approved by Council. Motion passed. . Gerald Buetow, Margaret Steinkraus and Robert Flesch, members of Board of Appeals again requested Council to change lot widths in future plats in Arden Hills to 120' for R-l Zones and 90' in R-2 zones. Chairman Buetow stated he is willing to work with Welfare Committee on the matter. Council to study request one month, then take action on matter. Mr. TimID complained to Council that arc light has not been installed at Snelling Avenue and Cummings Lane. Light has been ordered from Northern States Power Company. Attorney Courtney reported he cannot obtain easement of trespaes from Lucille and Axel Newman for erection of lift station on their property for sewer improvement #l, Projects land 2. After Council discussion of matter, motion made~by Kennedy, seconded by Crepeau that resolution re: Condemnation proceedings as attached be approved. Motion passed. A drainage problem on the Zilliox property WaS referred to Trustee Delange and Engineer Carley for cost estimates and rough contour map . of. area. Uniform burning ordinance was referred to Attorney courtney for re- drafting. Courtney reported that if the new ordinence is adopted, then Ordinance #8 should be repealed. . Council to look over Lot l~, Block 1, Dalsoren Addition for possible recreetional use. The !an is to be forfeited for tax payment.
