Nav. 30, 1964 <br /> Rezoning Recommendation <br /> Members of the Council received a letter, dated November 28, 1964, <br /> from Gerald Buetow, Chairman of the Planning Commission, requesting <br /> consideration by the Council of rezoning the northwest corner of <br /> Snelling and County Road E from Commercial to Residential. He stated <br /> that Carl Dale, Village ~lanner, proposes to recommend this rezoning <br /> in the Village plan. <br /> Atty. Courtney suggested that the Council get details from Mr. Dele <br /> on his reasoning for this reverse rezoning. Mayor Kennedy requested <br /> the Clerk to write to the owner of the property al.erting him of this <br /> recommendation. <br /> I REPORT OF ENGIN~ DONALD LUND <br /> .. Freeway Traffic Signs and Devices <br /> Clerk Lorraine Stromquist read a letter, dated Novemoer 30, 1904, from <br /> the Minn. Highway Dept. inviting comments from the Village on the pro- <br /> posed tl'affic signs and devices to be instAlled on the freeway through <br /> Arden Hill; a map accompanied the lettel' showinr the locations. 'rhe <br /> Highwny Dept. suggested that an Arden Hills Village sign showing the <br /> population be placed at the northern boundary of the Village - <br /> <';ounty hoad I. Referred to the Planning Cownission. <br /> Perry Plat <br /> 01erk Lorraine Stromquist read a letter fttm Engr. Lund which outlined <br /> several requirements that the newly submitted ferry plat does not <br /> meet. Clerk requested to send Atty. Courtney a copy of this letter. <br /> Engr. Lund stat.ed that the existing buildings should be placed on <br /> the plan. heferred to Atty. and ~ngr. with instructions to consider <br /> the applicable preliminary plans. <br /> hlli'ORT OF BUILDIKG INSJ:>:B.CTOR CUAY Kl:!;LL:B.Y <br /> Texaco Station Screening <br /> Clay Kelley informed the Council that the 'rexaco Stntion, County Road <br /> D and Cleveland Avenue, is now screened from the residential area <br /> with redwood fencing. <br /> Colestock Building Permit <br /> Clerk requested to contact Eugene Colestock to obtain a plat plan of <br /> his building for the Planning Con~ission meeting of December 10 <br /> REPORT OF TRUST:&; NETH1!;RCUT <br /> Johanna Skating Rink <br /> Trustee Nethercut reported that at a recent meeting of the Public <br /> Welfare Committee the recommendation was made that a paid attendant <br /> be at the warming house at Lake Johanna during the following hours: <br /> Weekdays 3:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.IDn <br /> Saturdays 9:00 a.m~ -10:00 p.m~ <br /> Sundays Noon - 9:00 P.m. <br /> with extra hours aur~ng school vacation. <br /> . The Committee reCOmmended that ~2.00 per hour be the rate of pay and <br /> this pay would come out of the Welfare budget. Trustee Nethercut <br /> will have a recommendation at the .next Council meeting for Council <br /> consideration. Atty. Courtney informed the Council that this person <br /> should be on the Villaga'a regular payroll. The Council determined <br /> that the hours worked should be logged. <br /> hEPORT OF TRUSTEE CREPEAU <br /> Sheriff's Convention <br /> Trustee Crepeau inron. ed the Council thflt he attended the three day <br /> Sheriff's <';onvention and has been appointed to the Legislative <br /> Committee.
