Olman <br /> Clerk Lorraine Stromouist <br /> . <br /> Absent - None <br /> Also Present - Atty. Courtney, Engrs. Donald Lund and Norman <br /> Hendrickson, Fiscal Agent Popovich <br /> -_ The minutes of the SpeCial Meeting of October 1, 1964 were approved <br /> as submitted; the minutes of the Regular Council Meeting of October l~ <br /> 1964 were approved as amended. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING <br /> Sanitary Sewer No.7 and Street Improvement No.6 <br /> Minutes as per attached. <br /> FROM THE: FLOOR <br /> Request for Sewer <br /> Mr. John Gregorich, 1609 Lake Johanna Blvd., stated his desire to <br /> connect to the sanitary sewer system. Matter referred to Atty, CourtnEU <br /> as an easement is involved. and to Banister Engineering Co. for a <br /> recommendation on the connection. <br /> Kelly=Thompson Easement <br /> Mr. John Kelly, 4029 Fairview Avenue, inquired as to the status of <br /> ~n easement which was being negotiated sometime agao. Atty. Courtney <br /> recol1'lIllended that this easement hot be ltcquired at this ti.Lle and the <br /> / matter be reconsidered at the time that the Village intends to assume <br /> the responsibility of the sewer line. <br /> REPORT OF ATTY. COURTNEY <br /> Condemnation Matters <br /> Letter from Dr. F'arkas, Health Officer, recommended that three prop- <br /> erties in the Village be condemned. Atty. Courtney info~ed the <br /> Council that the only means of condemnation the Village has is the <br /> Building Code, but the State Statute states that the Health Officer <br /> can serve notice to the residents giving them 10 days ~~~ <br /> clean up t.he area, and if this is not accomplished, th . an <br /> proceed and charge it against the property. Mayor Kennedy s ggested <br /> that, if agreeable with Dr. Farkas, Atty. courtn~ be authorized to <br /> write letters on two of the properties for Dr. Fa kes' signature; the <br /> third property concerned could possibly be burne by the Fire Dept. <br /> Trustee Crepeau~mentioned that an old house and barn located on Lex~ <br /> .- ington Avenue could also possibly be used as a demonstration for the <br /> Fire Dept. <br /> Copies or Atty. Courtney's letter containin~ his oBinions be sJnt to <br /> Dr. Farkas, the Building Inspector and the olice ept. <br /> Uniform Building Code <br /> Atty. Courtney submitted a letter concerning the Uniform Building Code. <br /> Clerk Lorraine Stromquist moved that copies of this letter be referred <br /> to the Building Inspector, the Planning Commission and Mr. Dale; <br /> seconded by Trustee Nethercut; motion carried. <br /> Clerk requested to send copies of same to members of the Council. <br /> Atty.
