<br />Minutes of Regular Counoil Meeting <br />Village of Arden Hilla <br />August 10, 1964 <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />Meeting waa oalled to order by Mayor Kennedy at 6:15 p.mo <br /> <br />Roll Calls Present - Mayor Kennedy, Trustee Olmen and Clerk <br />Lorraine Stromquist <br />Absent - Trustees Crepeau and Neth61'out <br />Also Present - Village Atty. Vinoent P. Courtney, Bldgo <br />Inspeotor Clay Kelley and Engineer Donald Lund. <br /> <br />The minutes of the Regular COWIoil Meeting ot July 27, 1964, were <br />approved as amended. <br /> <br />FROM THE FLOOR <br /> <br />Binger Residence <br />Severa~ residents from the Ingerson Road-Ingerson Court area were <br />present and voiced theil' opposition to the architecture of the Binger <br />residence now under oonstruction. <br /> <br />Mayor Kennedy explained the procedure relative to the granting of a <br />Building Permit when a variance is involved. He informed the resi- <br />dents that he and Trustee Crepeau had cohtacted the eurrounding home <br />owners oonoerning the construction of a home on this triangular lot, <br />these oontacts and approvals were not necessary according to the <br />Ordinanoeo The oonaensus was that this oonstruction would be an <br />improvement in the area as the lot was an eyesore with tall weeds, <br />etc. <br /> <br />Following are some of the comments and matters disoussed: <br /> <br />B. J. Lazan,~ Ingerson Road, requested a oopy of the Ordinanoe <br />whioh states that the aftected property owners do not have to be <br />oontacted ulder these conditions. He inquil'ed as to the funotion of <br />the Planning and Zoning Commission. <br /> <br />Mrs. Carol1D Tissol, Seoretary of the Planning and Zoning Commission, <br />explained the functions of the COI:III1i88ion and informed h1m of the <br />d.ates of the Comm1asioo's meetings. <br /> <br />George Ott, 1225 Ingerson Road, stated he was agreeable to the oon- <br />struotion on the lot, blit objeots to the arohitecture - looks like <br />the -Berlin wall- and bloCks his view of the lake, that other resi- <br />dents were not allowed to vary trom the Ordinanoe and gave as an <br />example the Swensoo home whioh was not allowed to face Ingerson Ct. <br />instead of the Roado <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />John Kennedy, 1280 Ingersoo Road, inquired 88 to the grading ot the <br />log and the amount of ooncrete block which will remain exposed~ He <br />also volced conoern regarding variances belng granted withoUt their <br />approval. <br /> <br />John Goetsoh or the Big John Construction Co~, contraotor for tbe <br />Binger res1denoe, was present and gave this intormatlonQ H~ stated <br />that Mr. Binger was out of town and regretted that he oould not attend <br />this meeting. <br /> <br />Allen Beeeth. 1201 Ingerson Road, and Mr. Kelth Ewy, 1176 Carlton <br />Drive, both 1nquired as to wb1 the deed restriotlon concerning two <br />story homes WaS not adhered too <br /> <br />Village Atty. Courtney explained that the Council does not have the <br />respons1b1lity of enforcing deed restrictions; any aotion on this <br />matter mUlIt be processed by a clvll su11l. He also informed the resi~ <br />dents that the Counol1 does not have the authority to deny the approval <br />of a building permit toresthet1o 1'88800S. <br /> <br />..1- <br />
