<br />'-'1 <br />'I <br />~ <br /> <br />-. <br /> <br />-. <br /> <br />Minutes or Regular Council Meeting <br />Village of Arden Hilla <br />June 6, 1964 <br /> <br />Mayor Kennedy called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Roll Call: Present - Mayor Kennec1y, Trustees Crepeau and Olman. <br />Clerk Lorraine Stromquist <br />Absent - Trustee Nethercut <br />Also Present g Village Atty. Courtney, Engineer Donalc1 <br />Lund and Clay Kelley, Building Inspector. <br /> <br />The minutes of the Regular Council Meeting of May 25. 1964 wen <br />approved ss submittedo <br />. <br /> <br />Sewer Connection - 5459 Siems Court <br />Mrs. Leon Sabine, 3464 Siems Court, was present and requested that <br />the house she owns at 3459 Siems Court be allowed to use its present <br />sawer facilities and not connect to the sanitary sewer system. She <br />informed the Council that she has reoeived a minimum estimate of <br />$725.00 which would not include a guarantee of satisfactory perform- <br />ance; it would cost about $500.00 more for a system that would give <br />any assurance of satisfaction. Mrs. Sabine informed the Council <br />that they may build a new home on this property and the new house <br />house would be so located as to receive service without any problems. <br />Mayor Kennedy stated that he did not believe that the Counoil has <br />the authority to grant this request. Matter referred to the Village <br />Atty. <br /> <br />Planning Commission RetOrt <br />Clerk Lorraine stromqu st read this report and Mr. George Boomer, <br />member of the Commission, was present to answer questions. <br /> <br />Rezoning Request. - <br />Tr~steeCrepeau moved that the request of Mr. John Daubney, who was <br />present, to rezone property from Commercial to Industrial and dSSg <br />cribed as follows: All that part of the W 250 ft. of the SE t of <br />the SE t of Section 27, Township 30. Range 23, lying southerly of <br />the Minneapolis. St. Paul and Saulte Ste warie Railway right of <br />way, except the south 243 ft. thereof, be granted, subject to the <br />approval of the Village Attorney, and if approved by the Atty., <br />authorized the Atty. to make the necessary arrangements for a <br />Public Hearing on the rezoning for June 29, 1964. 8:00 p.m. at the <br />Village Hall; seconded by Trustee Olmen} motion carried. <br /> <br />The Building Permit for the proposed building on this site will be <br />considered by the Council at the meeting of June 29. 1964. <br /> <br />Request to Move House <br />Trustee Olmen moved to accept the recommendation of the Planning <br />Commission and deny the request of the W. F. Stepnitz Co. to move <br />theWm. Zilliox house, 126l W. County Roed E.. 100 feet north of <br />its present site; seconded by'Trustee Crepeau} motion carried. <br /> <br />Reason for denial being that this house is and would still be a <br />non~onforming use and would be surrounded by commercial and indus~ <br />trial activities. <br /> <br />Uniform Bullding Code <br />As reootllll1en<led by the Planning Cajmission. Clerk Lorrlline StromqUist <br />moved tbat the Uniform Building Code be re~erred to Atty. Courtney <br />for studf along with the Village of iVh1te Bear's amendments, and to <br />prepare f' rough draft of an Ordinarice to adopt the code; seconded <br />by Trus t~'e C:repeau; motion carried. <br /> <br />- continued - <br />
