<br />, <br />/ <br /> <br />Page ::: <br /> <br />Minutes of Regular Council Meet:',ng <br /> <br />,;rUiJ is 8. 1964 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Uniform BuildinR Code (cont'd) <br />The Planning Commission reported that they would come forth with <br />recommendations concerning amendments. <br /> <br />Mayor Kennedy stated that the Council would have to oonsider fees <br />and procedures to be included or amended. <br /> <br />Red Fox Road <br />Mayor Kennedy read a letter. dated May 27, 1964, from A~. and Mrso <br />Boss, 1315 Red Fox Road, in which they stated their concern of the <br />future construction of Red Fox Road, which might be constructed too <br />close to their home. <br /> <br />Mayor Kennedy offerec1 to telephone Mr. Boss and explain that the <br />present Council and Planning Commission will be most considerate <br />regarding the construotion of this road so as not to interfere <br />with their living, but could not make a oommittment for future <br />Councils or Planning Commissions. <br /> <br />Butane Tank Problem <br />Trustee Crepeau reported that he and Lt. Pat Sexton, Fire Chief <br />Ehlers and Bldg. Inspector Clay Kelley had inspected the exposed <br />butane tank at the rear of the Wilsey residence, 1178 ~iller Lane; <br />this tank faoes Carlton Drive. Fire Chief Ehlers thought it coo= <br />stituted a hazardous condition and all agreed that it was unsightly. <br />Several property owners of the area were present and expressed <br />their desire to have the tank moved so it would not be seen from <br />Car 1 ton Dri ve. <br /> <br />Trustee Crepeau informed the Counoil that he had talked with Mr. <br />Wilsey and Mr. Wilsey has offered to screen the tank for esthetio <br />reasons, end would move the tank if it is in violation. <br /> <br />Trustee Crepeau moved that the matter be referred to Atty. Courtney <br />and requested Building Inspector Clay Kelley to acquaint the Atty. <br />with the facts ooncerning the matter; seoonded by Trustee Olmen; <br />motion carried. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Vessey Gara,e Matter <br />Clerk Lorra ne StromqUist read a report, dated May 30, 1964, from <br />the Board of Appeals, whioh stated that it would, at this time, be <br />willing to grant svarianoe to the building oode to allow Mr. Vessey <br />to build a garage on property adjaoent to his home, if the Village <br />is willing to sell Mr. Vessey all or a portion of this lot. <br /> <br />As recommended by the Board of Appeals, the Council requested Atty. <br />Courtney to again write to Mr. Thompson regarding his interest in <br />purchasing a portion of this lot to give the Thompson home the re~ <br />quire6 side yard setbaok. <br /> <br />Request to Purchase Village Owned Lot <br />Clerk Lorraine Stromquist read a letter from Mr. Wm. Binger. 1802 <br />W. COtlnty Road D., which requested the Village to allow him to buy <br />Lot l~\, Auditors' Subdivision No. 80 (same property as disoussed <br />aboveLn the Vessey matter). Mr. Bingel' also submitted proposed <br />house tlnd site plans for this lot. <br /> <br />Mayor Kennedy stated that he does not believe a variance should be <br />allowed to permit the construotion of a house on this lot as it <br />measuref' only.50 ft. on Sandeen Road, 12 l/2 ft. on Lake Johanna <br />and is 1.84 ft. deep. <br /> <br />Atty. Courtney informed the Counoil that possibly bids might have <br />to be talcen on the sale of' this lot sinoe more than one buyer is <br />interest.~d. <br /> <br />Matter rE'ferred to Atty.
