Fred Nixon. lnformec1 the Councll of s home on <br />Lake Johanna Blvd., whlch is havlng a problem with sewer backing <br />up into their basement. This could possibly be ~ ~esult of the <br />lift station near the site not operating properlr~ However. both <br />times the pl'ob;Lem was reported. Mr. Nixon stated that the station <br />was alright. Matter referred to Trustee Olmen and the Village <br />Engineer. <br /> <br />Mr. Nixon also informed the Council that the red light on the lift <br />station which is supposed to light when trouble occurs. has never <br />been connected. <br /> <br />Perry Plat <br />I.J1ck Jones was present and informed the Council that he had contacted <br />Banister Engineering regarding the sewer and road work in the Per~ <br />Plat. Engr. Don Luac1 submitted the followingtigures: <br />Street Bond - .3.890.62; Sewer Bond - $3.572.50. <br /> <br />Trustee Crepeau moved that final approval be given the Perry Plat, <br />subject to the approval of Trustee Nethercut and the Village Atty.; <br />seconded by Trustee Olmen; motion carried. <br /> <br />Bethel College Dra1nap;e Problem <br />Clerk Lorraine Stromquist read a letter, dated June 5, 1964, from <br />Engr. Don Lund which recommended approval of the drainage plans, <br />dated ~flb. 12, 1964. for the Bethel College dte. Council decided <br />to witnnolc1 approval of these plans until the submission of the <br />building plans for Bethel College. <br /> <br />Sewer Service - 3456 Siems Court <br />~lerk Lorraine stromqUist read a letter, dated June 5, 1964. from <br />Engr. Lund, which informed the Council that Engrs. Lund and Short <br />met with Wally Hermes, Rosetown Sanitation, and a representative <br />from the Peter Lametti Construction Co. It was decidec1 that the <br />main sewer line was too high for service and an agreement was reached <br />whereby Mr. Hermes woulc1 lower the line and would be paid by Lametti <br />Construction Co. <br /> <br />Erosila Problem - Ridgewood Road <br />C.Lerk Lorraine StromqUist read a letter, dated June 5, 1964. from <br />Engr. Lund concerning an erosion prOblem in the drainage ditch <br />north of 3l6l Ridgewood Road. Said letter informed the Council thBt <br />the culvert was plugged with debris and the ditch showed signs of <br />erosion which could possi~ly under.mine the bituminous blacktop road. <br />Matter of cleaning out the culvert referred to RBed Nilllon. The <br />matter of correcting the ditch problem was ~eferred to Trustee <br />Olmen for a cost est1rr~te. Clerk requested to send Trustee Olmen <br />a copy of this letter. <br /> <br />~idg~.OOd Court Road Problem <br />ngr. Lund reported that the "bird bath" on ltidgewooc1 Court would <br />requ',re a grade change to correct. Trustee Crepeau moved that <br />Banister Engineering Co. be authorized to prepare plans and speci- <br />fioations and also to obtain a cost estimate for the repair of <br />the "bird bath" area and also the repair of Ridgewood Road near <br />the 11ft stationl seconded by Trustee Olmen; motion carried . <br /> <br />The C(lunoil suggested that the Oak Avenue Improvement contractor <br />might consider doing this repair work. <br /> <br />Lakeshore Place <br />J:!;ngr. -wnd informed the Council that a rough estimate for the <br />construotion base and surfacing of Lakesbore Place would be about <br />$5.50J.ooI this would include correcting the drainage problem. <br />Clerk requested to notify the affected residents of this cost <br />estimate. <br /> <br />- oontinued - <br />
