Courtney to initiate condemnation procedures against <br />the Grotto CJ.ub; seconded by Trustee NethElrcut; notion carried. <br /> <br />McGuire's Liquo~s, Ino. <br />Clerk raaa a letter, dated March 4, 1904, from Dorsey, Owen, Marquart, <br />Windhorst and West, which proposed a transfer of sssots of McGui~e's <br />Liquors, Inc. to Truck Grane Service Co. <br /> <br />Atty. Courtney informed the Council this transfer would require new <br />liquOt' license applic~tions, changing of the bond and notification <br />to the Liquor Control. He also stated that accol'di,ng to Village <br />Ordinance there is a $100.00 fee to change the on-sala and also the <br />off-sale licenses. <br /> <br />Clerk requested to send applications to McGuire's Liquors, Inc. <br /> <br />Villsge liall Improvement Contract <br />On recommendation of Atty, Courtney, Trustee Nethercut moved thE,t <br />the Mayor and Glerk be authorIzed to sign the contract for the <br />Village Hall Improvement in behalf of the Village; subject to the <br />bond being properly e~eouted and the obtaining of an additional <br />certificate of insurance to cover the period beyond April 1, 1901; <br />seconded by Trustee Crepeau; motion carried. <br /> <br />ENGINEER I S REPORT <br /> <br />Sewer Gas ~roblem - 1475 Skiles Lene <br />l!:ngineer Lun(l Inl'01'llled the Council that he again chs!\ked the manuol" <br />behind thh residence snddetected only the normal amoUrlt of gas <br />odor; he also discussed this problem with other enginears at the <br />Banister office. As recou~ended by Engr. Lund, the Council requested <br />the Cleri( to write to Mr. Mol'lamee, the owner, and request that the <br />vent pipes from his hame be raised to attempt to eliminate the pro- <br />blem before any fUrther study is made. <br /> <br />Arden Hills=ShoreviewDrainage Ptoblem <br />Engineer Lura informed the Counoil that he had t~lked with Mr. Carley, <br />Mr. C"rley stated tbet he hed made an oral report at one time in <br />which he recommended that Arden Hills and Shoreview get together <br />with Hills of Homes to discuss 8 soluti&n to this prOblem, but Arden <br />Hills deolined the suggestion, because of the cost faetoro <br /> <br />Mpyor Kennedy reed e~oerpts from the minutes, as compiled by the <br />Clerk, dating back to April 29. 1957 to the present, concernIng this <br />problem. <br /> <br />- continued - <br />
