Mayor Nethercut <br />requested hIm to send a fetter to the Council and Include a drawing <br />showing his request. <br /> <br />REPORT OF ATTORNEY COURTNEY <br /> <br />Pedestrian Trali Easement <br />Attorney Courtney reported that the casement from Northern States Power <br />Company for the pedestrian trai I Is now ready for final izing. <br /> <br />lake Johanna Oralna"e Ditch <br />Attorney Courtney submitted a letter, dated December 26, 1967, to Clerk <br />Lorraine Stromquist concerning the status of thIs matter. <br /> <br />Councilman Crepeau moved That Banister Engineering Company be authorized <br />to prepare a pralimlnary report which would describe the area, state <br />generaGly what shoutd be done regording drainage, and recommend a <br />distrlbu"rlon of cost between tho benefited municipalities; the cost <br />of this report Is to be between $100 and $150; seconded by Council- <br />man Olmen; motion curried, <br /> <br />As requested by the Village of New Brighton, Councilman Crepeau moved <br />to authorize Attorney Courtney to inform New Brighton by letter of <br />Arde~ HI! Is support In establiShing a Watershed Dls~rict for the Rice <br />Creek drainage area; seconded by Councilman Bjorndahl; motion carried. <br /> <br />Rosevil!a - Arden Hills Water Contract <br />Attorney Courtney submitted a letter, dated December 26, 1967, In which <br />he summarized his meetIng wii"h Rosevll Ie representatives and the Supt. <br />and Ass't, Supt. of the St. Pau! Water Department on Oecember 22. He <br />believes that a final conclusion will be made on the matter before <br />the mldd~e of January. <br /> <br />. \~ater Meter Contract <br />". Attorney Cotirtnay reported that the water meter contract is In order <br />and ready for execution, <br /> <br />Councilman Olmen moved approval of the contract to purchase meters <br />from the Badger Man~facturing Company, Inc. and authorized tha Mayor <br />.. and Clerk to execute the contract; seconded by Councilman Bjorndahi; <br />"~ motion carried. <br /> <br />Munlclpa! Emp!oyees Bond <br />Treasurer Worth Read informed the Council that he has checked with <br />other firms, and recommends a blanket bond be purchased from the Hite <br />Agency in the amount of $25,000 to cover all Vii lage employees effective <br />January I, 1968. <br /> <br />Clerk Lorraine Stromquist informad the Council that the cost of the <br />$25,000.00 blanket bond will be $3[5.00 annually, or $788 on a 3-year <br />basis.
