. ~ . . . A~II MINUTES OF COUNCIL MEETING Village of Arden Hills Monday, October 2, 1967 Fol lowing the public hearing for Water Improvement 67-2, the Village Council reconvened. Contract for Water Improvement 67-2 Engineer Short reported that four bids were received today and opened by the Clerk. A tabulation of the bids Is attached. Mr. Short recommended that the award be made to the low bidder, McDonald and Associates, Inc. Motion by Olmen; seconded by . Crepeau that the contract for water Improvement 67-2 be awarded to McDonald and ASsociates, Inc. In an amount of $57,894.50, Contractor to proceed Immediately and to complete the jOb this year, including street repair. Motion carrIed. Letter to Rose~11 Ie re Arden Hills Water MaIn Construction The Counc II requested Clerk to send a letter to Rosevll Ie (with a copy to St. Paul) Informing them that we are proceeding with construction of water mains In Arden Hills. Notice to Residents of Arden Hills #3 The Counc i I requested Clerk and Engineer Short to draft a post card notice to residents of the Arden Hills 63 area asking them to determine where their water stubs are to be located and to so mark them. Appointment of Patrol Off Icer. Motion made by Crepeau, seconded by Olmen that Jerome F. Stradlnger be appointed to the Arden HII Is Police Force as a part time employee, at a wage rate of $2.50 per hour - appointment effective October I , 1967. Motion carried. Minnesota Fire and Rescue LeaQue Motion made bv Crepeau, seconded by Hollenhorst, that police officer Jim Schmaedeke bE authorized to attend the Conference of the Inter- national Rescue and First Aid Association at Baltimore, without pay from October 22 through October 28, 1967, and that Arden Hills contribute $50.00 toward his expenses.
