<br />MINUTES OF REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br />Vi Ilage of Arden Hi lis <br />Monday, September 25, 1967 - 8:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Ca i I to Order <br />Meeting was cal led to order by Mayor Nethercut at 8:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br /> <br />'. <br /> <br />Present - Mayor Nethercut, Trustees Crepeau, Bjorndahl and <br />Hoi lenhorst <br />Absent - None <br />Also Present - Village Attorney Vincent P. Courtney, Village <br />Engineer Donald Lund, Village Treasurer Worth G. Read, <br />Building Inspector Clay Kelley, Administrative Clerk <br />Lorraine Stromquist and Deputy Clerk Florence Honan. <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br />The minutes of the Regular Counci I Meeting of September II, 1967, <br />and the minutes of the water hearing for Improvement No. 67-1, <br />held August 29, 1967, were approved as submitted. <br /> <br />REPORT OF ATTORNEY COURTNEY <br /> <br />Ramsey County Library <br />Attorney Courtney reported he has a map of the property to be <br />conveyed to Ramsey County Library Board; however, this map shows <br />a strip along the southern boundary, 43 feet wide and 400 feet <br />long, which has already been conveyed to Ramsey County A portion <br />of this strip has been used for County Road E2. Attorney Courtney <br />Informed the Council that the mlltters he questioned regarding the <br />title have now been satisfactorily checked as reported In his <br />letter of September 25, 1967. <br /> <br />Engineer Lund assured the Council that the area is 3 acres outside <br />of the right-of-way; a survey of the property would show this <br />exception. <br /> <br />As recommended by Attorney Courtney, the Council authorized Attorney <br />Courtney to close the transaction with Bethel Baptist Conference <br />Friday, September 29, 1967. <br /> <br />Lambrqs Drainaqe Matter _~ <br />Attorney Courtney reported he had written a letter, dated September <br />J 2. 1967, to Eng i neer Lund, in wh I ch he recommended cons i derat Ion of <br />other drainage problems on lake Johanna which would Involve other <br />municipalities; he felt a policy should be adopted. Council referred <br />the matter to Engineer Lund for a report. Engineer Lund stated <br />that Shoreview has already agreed to participate finllnclally. <br /> <br />Vii laqe Hall Parklnq Lot <br />AttorneyCourtn0Y submitted to Clerk Lorraine Stromquist four copies <br />of the signed and sealed contract between Hennepin Blacktopping Co., <br />Inc. and the Village. <br /> <br />'. <br /> <br />Firemen's Benefit A~ciation. Inc. <br />Clerk Lorraine Stromquist informed the Council a cheek had been <br />received from the State of Minnesota in the amount of $4,859.30 which <br />is to be re-Issued by the Village to the Lake Johanna Volunteer <br />Firemen's Rei ief Association, Inc. The financial report of the <br />association was also submitted as required by law. Financial report <br />given to Attorney Courtney for his oplnJon. <br /> <br />REPORT OF ENGiNEER LUND <br /> <br />Bethel Colleqe Revised~wer Rate <br />Trustee BJorndahl moved, as recommended by Engineer Lund, that the <br />Arden Hil Is supplemental sewer charge for Bethel College be revised <br />to include the three apartment bulldi~gs for student housing; this <br />amount to be $304.80 plus the annual charge of the three inch meter <br />of $51.00 for a total Arden Hills charge of $355.80; seconded by <br />Trustee Crepeau; motion carried. <br /> <br />-1- <br />
