<br />Larson-Schacker Draina~e Matter <br />Engineer Lund Informed the Counci' that the Warren Larsons, <br />3161 Ridgewood Road, are agreeable to delay construction of their <br />driveway until after construction of the water main. <br /> <br />REPORT OF B~ILDING ,NSPECTOR CLAY ~.llEY <br /> <br />Unfinished Buildin~ <br />Mr. Kelley reported thllt the exterior completion date for the <br />John Canniff residence, 3964 Glenview, was September 24; However, <br />much progress has been made and will take only about three weeks <br />more to complete. He recommended a 30 day extension. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Trustee Hol lenhorst moved that John Canniff be granted a 30 day <br />ext~nsion to complete the exterior of his residence; seconded by <br />Trustee Olmen; motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Kel ley Informed the Council that condemnation notices had been <br />served for the properties at 3155 and 1624 Lake Johllnnll Boulevard, <br />and he hils received several calls on these matters. <br /> <br />Attorney Courtney informed the Council that correction must be <br />started within 48 hours after serving of the notices. <br /> <br />Clerk reported that the attorney for Bernice Beckler, owner of <br />the property lit 1624 Lake Johanna Boulevard, has requested a two- <br />week delay. <br /> <br />Mr. Kelley stated thllt the property Is hazardous and especllllly <br />so because of Its proximity to the Ramsey County picnic area and <br />entrance to the building is easily accessible. <br /> <br />Trustee Crepeau moved, seconded by Trustee Hollenhorst, that the <br />request for a two week delay be denied; motion carried. <br /> <br />WATER IMPORVEMENT NO. 67-1. Project No. I BIDS <br /> <br />Engineer Roger Short, Bllnister Engineering Co., submitted the nine <br />(9) bids received for this project to Clerk Lorraine Stromquist <br />and submitted copies of the tabulation of the bids to the Clerk and <br />Councl I. Tne Engineer's estimate of the bid was about $320,000. <br />Bids received ranged from $291,484.85 to $362,860.00. Mr. Short <br />stated thllt the booster station and the wllter tower Is not Included <br />in this bid. Engineer Short enumerated several projects satlsfllc- <br />torily done by McDonald and Associates, Inc., and recommended they, <br />as low bidder, be awarded the bid. Engineer Short will send II copy <br />of the previously proposed comtract from Roseville to Attorney <br />Courtney, who will work with Rosevllle on this matter. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Trustee Oimen moved the adoption of a Resolution, as attached, <br />awarding the bid for Water Improvement No. 67-1, Project No. I to <br />McDonald and Assoc., Inc. for the amount of $291,484.85; required <br />completion date as stated In the specifications to be December 31, <br />1967; seconded by Trustee Bjorndahl; motion carried. <br /> <br />Engineer Short informed the Council that Rosevii Ie hilS an 8" dual <br />meter which they wll I rent to Arden Hills for a nomlnlll charge; this <br />would el imlnate the necessity of Arden HII Is purchasing this expen- <br />sive meter which would eventually be inadequate. <br /> <br />Mr. Jurgenson, 1301 Cannon Avenue, was referred to Engineer Short <br />to check the location of the water mains. <br /> <br />REPORT OF TRUSTEE HOLLENHORST <br /> <br />No. report. <br /> <br />RF.PORT OF TRUSTEE CREPEAU <br /> <br />First Aid Meetl~ <br />Trustee Crepeau reported that he and the police officers attended <br />the Minnesota Rescue and First Aid Meeting held at the Twin City <br />Arsenal last Saturday and Sunday. <br /> <br />-2- <br />
