J. Salland, Village Engineer D. lund, <br />Deputy Clerk Florence Honan and Accounting Clerk Charlotte <br />McNlesh <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />The minutes of the Regular Council Meeting of 10 July 1967 were <br />approved as amended. <br /> <br />The minutes of the Special Counei I Meeting of 27 July 1967 werE <br />approvad as submitted. <br /> <br />BUSINESS FROM THE FLOOR <br /> <br />Kostohryz Variance Request - C~se 6J-23 <br /> <br />D. W. Kostohryz and his architect, G. McGuire, discussed the front <br />or rear yard variance request as detailed in Case 67-23. The <br />variance is requested for lot 4 and the northerly half of lot 5, <br />Arden Hi lis Addition. G. McGuire informed t~e Council that County <br />Engineer Anklan will send a letter to Al'den Hills stating that the <br />county has no objection to the proposed location of residence and <br />garage. Mr. McGUire also said the county plans to reduce the present <br />100 ft. right of way to 80 ft. at some future date tor this portion <br />of Old Snelling Avenue. Trustee Crepeau moved that the variance <br />requested In Caso 67-23 be approved, provided thet both the Board <br />of Appeals and the Planning Commission approve the variance; <br />seconded by Trustee Olmon; motion carried. <br /> <br />];lumping and Traffic Central <br /> <br />J. Besch, 1966 Edgewater Avenue, complained th~t private property, <br />located at the west end of Edgew*ter Avenue Is being used as a <br />dump. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />it was also noted the an area adjacent to County Road E-2 Is being <br />usee for dumping. <br /> <br />The CouncIl suggested that owners of the properties involved be <br />contacted and the debris be re,moved, "Private Property - No Dumping" <br />slgns~e posted In areas, and ?hat tne Pol Ice Department patrol <br />areas frequen' 'yo <br /> <br />r : . <br />I, <br /> <br />Mr. Besch also complained that Prior Avenue, from County Road D <br />to Jerrold Avenue, was becoming a speed zone, heavily travelled <br />by motorists to avoid stop sIgns at County Road D and New Brighton <br />Road. He suggested placing additional stop signs on this route. <br />Matter referred to the Public Satety Committee. <br /> <br />lake Josephine DralnaQe Improvement <br />Upon motion by Crepeau, seconded by Olmen, the Council, as per <br />attached resolution, ordered the engineer to prepare a feasibility <br />report on the proposed lake Josephine drainage Improvement; carried. <br /> <br />.~.---C <br />
