Courtney, Village <br />Engineer Donald Lund, Administrative Clerk LorraIne <br />StromquIst and Accounting Clerk Charlotte McNlesh. <br /> <br />ADDroval of Minutes <br />An addItional amendment to the Regular CouncIl MeetIng Minutes <br />of June 12, 1967 was approved. Minutes of the Regular Council <br />MeetIng of June 26, 1967 were approved as amended. <br /> <br />BUSINESS FROM THE FLOOR <br /> <br />WaTer tor Industrial-Commercial Area <br />John Rysgaard, Eugene Colestock and Worth Read (members of the <br />Water Study CommIttee) dIscussed: <br />I. Proposed source of munIcipal water <br />2. Financing <br />3. PublIc HearIng requIrements for Improvement. <br />Mr. Rysgaard and Mr. Colestock stated that water needs are urgent <br />In the commercial-IndustrIal area. After some discussion, <br />Trustee Cre~eau moved that a Special Meeting be held July 13, <br />1967 at 7:30 p.m. at the Village Hall. This Is to be a JoInt <br />meeting with CouncIl and Water Study Committee, a representative <br />from Attorney Courtney's office, Fiscal Consultant Peter Popovich, <br />and Engineer Roger Short In attendance; seconded by Trustee <br />Hollenhorst; motion carried. <br /> <br />Bid ODenln~ - Larson-Shacker Dralna~e <br />Bids were opened at 8:30 p.m. and reported by Administrative <br />Clerk StromquIst as follows: <br />I. LaMettl and Sons, Inc. $2,355.00 <br />2. Rosetown Sanitation 2,306.00 <br />Trustee Olmen moved acceptance of the apparent low bid, subject <br />to approval by EngIneer Lund and Attorney Courtney; seconded by <br />Trustee Crepeau; carried. <br /> <br />ProDosed Robert's Warehouses (Cases 67-17 and 67-18) <br />Trustee Hollenhorst moved that the Council approve plans of the <br />warehouses subject to Village EngIneer's approval ot drainage <br />and PlannIng CommissIon approval of landscape plans prior to con- <br />structIon; seconded by Trustee Crepeau; carrIed. <br /> <br />REPORT OF ATTORNEY COURTNEY <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />Boulevard Tree Ordinance <br />Trustee Hollenhorst moved IntroductIon by tItle of an Ordinance <br />Regulating the PlantIng of Trees In Boulevard areas In the Village <br />of Arden Hills, providIng a permit procedure, establishing regu- <br />lations for such planting, and providIng penaltIes for violation: <br />seconded by Trustee Olmen; carrIed. Matter referred to PlannIng <br />Commission and Parks and Recreation CommIttee.. <br /> <br />Knowd Request for Property PUi"c:h:n;g <br />Attorney Courtney reported that the area In question Is a 30foot <br />platted roadway which has not been vacated. The Council, there- <br />fore, has no authorIty to sell It. He stated that when a street <br />Is vacated It reverts to abutting property owners. <br /> <br />Shorewood Drive Area Easements ~ <br />Attorney Courtney r~ported that easements . n the sect~ <br />map normally "--:-. .. _.... J give <br />rIght for maintenance. Public crossovers of the area norma! Iy <br />are not Included In this type of easement. Mr. Reloux, 3209 <br />Shorewood Drive, discussed the easements existing on Lot I, Blockl. <br />Attorney Courtney further stated that Arden HIlls does not have <br />a trespass ordinance and consequently would be governed by State <br />Statute.
