Meeting - June 12, 1967 - continued <br /> <br />Gas Tax R€dund <br />A?torney Courtney informed the Council that the State Statute <br />provides gas taxes are refundable only when vehicles are used entirely <br />off the highways. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Library Site <br />Attorney Courtney reported that a certified copy of the Resolution <br />of Commitment regarding the acquisition of the Library Site had <br />been given to Mrs. Palmer to be presented to the Ramsey County <br />Board; Attornoy Courtney informed the Counci I that he has not <br />heard from Mr. Eastman concerning the earnest money contract, but <br />assumes that the Bethel Board has not met since the contract was <br />subm I t'l"ed" <br /> <br />Standard Station Easement <br />Attorney Courtney stated he received a call from Mr. McDonald, <br />Standard Oil Company, informing him that there will be a minor <br />change In the easement on the premises of the station located on <br />County Road E and the Freeway. <br /> <br />He i man Pr<:~..DE.lI--l-y TiI>: Aba'i-ement <br />Attorney Courtney Informed the Council that he sent a letter, dated <br />9 June 1967 (copy to Vi Ilaga), applying for tax abatement and <br />abatement of assessments of Sanitary Sewer Nos. I and 3 on the <br />Heiman property. <br /> <br />~sey County Welfare Request <br />Attorney Courtney informed the Counei I of a letter dated 17 May 1967 <br />he received from the Ramsey County Welfare requesting action to <br />prosecute for non-support; he has not been able to contact the writer <br />of the letter, but bel ieves this previously has been a Ramsey <br />County Attorney matter. <br /> <br />Council delayed action until Tne next meeting and requested Clerk <br />Lorraine Stromquist to check with other municipalities for their <br />action on such requests. <br /> <br />Oak Wi It t~atter <br />Trustee 8jorndah I ! ntoi-med the Counc i I the'!"
