<br />Minutes of Regular Council Meeting - May 22, 1967 - continued <br /> <br />Police Department <br />Trustee Crepeau informed the Council that the police department material <br />from the Village stroage building on New Brighton Road will be moved to <br />the house located on the recently purchased Helman property on Lexington <br />Avenue; this move is agreeable to both the Public Safety and Parks and <br />Recreation CommIttees. Clerk was requested to order a sign reading <br />"Arden HI lis Police Department" for the Lexington Avenue bui Idlng. <br /> <br />Arden Hills Jaycees <br />~delegatlon from the Arden Hills Jaycees were present and presented <br />lIJor Nethercut a copy of their book on their plan of action. <br /> <br />REPORT OF TRUSTEE OLMEN <br /> <br />Pub II c Works <br />Trustee Olmen Informed the Council that the report <br />meeting will be given at the next Council meeting. <br />time the Committee will present specifications and <br />owned pickup truck. <br /> <br />from their last <br />He stated that at that <br />quotes for a Vlllage- <br /> <br />Trustee Olmen reported that seal coating will start on June 12, weather <br />permitting. <br /> <br />REPORT OF MAYOR NETHERCUT <br /> <br />Mayor Nethercut reported a letter dated 16 May 1967, had been received from <br />the Minnesota Safety Council, Inc. informing us that Arden HI I Is has been <br />awarded the Merltorlus Achievement Honors In traffic safety law enforcement <br />with presentation of the award to be made In the Village; they requested <br />a date for the presentation. Trustee Crepeau s~ggested the presentation be <br />made at one of the Council meetings in June. He wi II request the polIce <br />officers to be present. He expressed appreciation to the Village administra- <br />tive staff for their efficiency In submitting reports which was a definite <br />factor In getting the award and requested they be present at the time of <br />presentation. Clerk Lorraine Stromquist reported that Mrs. Charlotte <br />McNlesh and Mrs. Dorothy Zehm work with the Police Department. Matter re- <br />ferred to Clerk Lorraine Stromquist to arrange for presentation date. <br /> <br />1967 Legislative ProQram <br />Notification from the League of Minnesota Municipalities stating the 1967 <br />Legislative Program will be held at the University of Minnesota on June 10, <br />1967; fee for the program Is $5.00. The Council agreed that the fee would <br />be paid by the Village for Planning Commission members, Mayor, members of <br />the Council and the Clerk and staff If they wish to attend. <br /> <br />Water Study Committee <br />Mayor Nethercut reported that Bob McNlesh, Chalr~~n of the Water Study <br />Committee, stated that completion of this study Is pending reports from <br />Banister Engineering Company and representatives of the Industrial Area; <br />however, he does expect the Banister report about the 1st of June, and progress <br />Is being made regarding reports from the Industrial area. <br /> <br />RaRT OF ADMINISTRATIVE CLERK <br /> <br />License Renewals <br />Trustee Crepeau moved, seconded by Trustee Hollenhorst, that the following <br />licenses be granted: <br />Phillips 66 Station, Highway 8 and 96 - restaurant <br />Arden Hills Texaco, 3130 N. Cleveland - soft drinks <br />motion carried. <br /> <br />Apportionment Resolutions <br />Trustee Crepeau moved the adoption of Resolutions as attached, relating to <br />apportIonment of assessm3~ts relating to Senltary Se~er Improvement Nos. I, <br />3 and 6; seconded by Trustee Olmen; motion carried. <br /> <br />County Road F LIQhtlng <br />Clerk Lorraine Stromquist Informed the Council that Mr. Reeder, Mounds VIew <br />High School, requests the replacement of a street light on County Road F <br />near the tennis courts of the school. He stated that the light was removed <br />during road construction and not replaced. The area Is hazardous for both <br />pedestrians and vehicular travel.
