<br />. <br /> <br />Minutes of Council Meeting - April 10, 1967 - continued <br /> <br />Commission for consideration of the type of signs to erect. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />United Nations Dav <br />Trustee Crepeau moved, as recommended by Mayor Nethercut, that Mrs. <br />Dorothy Sullivan, President of the Arden Hills League of Women Voters, <br />act as United Nations Day Chairman; seconded by Trustee Hol lenhorst; motion <br />carried. Matter referred to Clerk Lorraine Stromquist. <br /> <br />Countv Road D and Lexington Avenue - Rosevllle <br />Mayor Nethercut read a letter from the Ramsey County Board of Commissioners <br />regarding the County's acquisition of property at County Road D and <br />Lexington Avenue for park purposes. Mayor Nethercut contacted Commissioner <br />Salverda and Informed him of our position. The matter was tabled by the <br />Ramsey County Board until their next meeting at the request of Rosevllle. <br />Trustee Hollenhorst moved, as recommended by Mayor Nethercut, that we urge <br />Commissioner Salverda ro recommend purchase of this property, and a letter <br />stating this position be written to each County Commissioner; seconded by <br />TrusteeOlmen; motion carried. Matter referred to Clerk Lorraine Strom- <br />quist. <br /> <br />Ramsey County Leaque <br />The Ramsey County League Research Committee has requested two represen- <br />tatives from Arden Hills to consider the problem of waste disposal. Matter <br />referred to Clerk to determine the Involvement. <br /> <br />REPORT OF ADMINISTRATIVE CLERK LORRAINE STROMQUIST <br /> <br />Request for Sewer Study <br />A letter, dated April 5, 1967, from Eugene Gazelka, 3263 North Snelling <br />Avenue, requested that a sewer study be made to service acreage which he <br />owns. He stated that since sewer for the Starr-Elbner property Is being <br />studied at this time, this would be the time to consider sewer for the <br />surrounding unservlced area. Copies of this letter were given to the <br />Council. Matter referred to Engineer Lund for a report at the next <br />Council meeting; the public hearing for the Starr-Elbner plat Is scheduled <br />also for this date. <br /> <br />Drive-In License Fees <br />Clerk Lorraine Stromquist reported that she had contacted several surround- <br />Ing villages regarding license fees for drive-Ins and Informed the Council <br />that the average fee Is $20.00 to $25.00 annually. Matter tabled until <br />next Council meeting. <br /> <br />Round Lake Problem <br />CIAr~ Informed the Council that Mr. Markeley, Markeley Laboratories, stated <br />his observation of 011 slick on Round Lake and was concerned on Its <br />effect on the wild life. Matter referred to Clerk Stromquist to so I~form <br />the State Department of Health. <br /> <br />Radar Signs <br />Clerk Informed the Council that the radar signs for the Village have been <br />ordered from a private concern. <br /> <br />. Emp I oyee I s Pay Per lods <br />Clerk reported that dates have been established for fulltlme employees <br />who are paid semi-monthly, which is satisfactory to the employees. She <br />Informed the Council that they will be paid the first and the fifteenth <br />of the month for their ~egular time; the overtime pay period will be from <br />the 15th of one month to the 14th of the following month, with payment on <br />the 1st of the next month. This overtime payment will be delayed about <br />two weeks, but thIs Is agreeable to the employees. The Council concurred <br />with this arrangement. <br /> <br />Adiournment <br />MeetIng adjourned at 11:05 p.m. <br /> <br />~~~ <br />ert E.
