<br />Counci I Meeting Minutes - March 27, 1967 - continued <br /> <br />Trustee Hollenhorst Informed the Council that the disease Is prevalent <br />in his area and suggested a public informational meeting wIth Or. French; <br />Trustee Crepeau expressed the same feeling. The Council requested the <br />Committee to continue the Study and requested the Clerk to contact Dr. <br />French. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Or. BJorndahl suggested publication of the sUbJect. <br /> <br />lake Josephine DralnaQe Ditch <br />Trustee BJorndahl requested the Council to check the drainage ditch at <br />Ingerson Road and Fernwood Avenue leading to lake Josephine. He Informed <br />the Council that the ditch contains about 8' of swift water which is a <br />safety and health hazard as It Is full of debris. This ditch Is about <br />300 feet long from the road to the lake. the land on either side Is <br />owned by the Josephine lake Improvement Association. Trustee Olmen stated <br />that a few years ago the Association had requested the dredging of the <br />ditch to enable them to use this ditch for launching their boats; they <br />definitely did not want a culvert placed here as the County offered to do. <br />Therefore, this ditch was dredged as the association wished. <br /> <br />Referred to Clerk to arrange a meeting with Englnaer lund, Trustees Olmen <br />and BJorndahl, and a representative from Ramsey County. Trustee BJorn- <br />dahl requested this meeting be held soon as the urgency Is now. <br /> <br />REPORT OF TRUSTEE OlMEN <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />REPORT OF MAYOR NETHERCUT <br /> <br />Assessor's MeetlnQ. <br />Mayor requested the Clerk to notify Hans Prechtel, Assistant County <br />Assessor for Arden Hills, of a meeting to be held Wednesday, April 12 In <br />the County Board room arranged by Mr. Welhaven. <br /> <br />United Nations' Day <br />Material from the U. N. Committee was referred to Clerk lorralne Stromquist. <br /> <br />St. Paul Fire Department <br />A letter from St. Paul regarding their Fire Department procedure was <br />referred to Trustee Crepeau. <br /> <br />REPORT OF ADMINISTRATIVE CLERK lORRAINE STROMQUIST <br /> <br />Proposed Re-ZonlnQ Objection <br />Copies of a letter, dated 17 March 1967, from Attorney Donald C. lentsch <br />were given to members of the Council, and sent to Attorney Courtney, larry <br />Brodie and Carl Dale. This latter expressed disapproval of rezoning from <br />Commercial to Residential the property on the northwest corner of New <br />Brighton Road and County Road D. Trustee Crepeau moved, seconded by Trus- <br />tee Hollenhorst, that this letter be entered into the minutes; ; motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />County Road F and Fernwood llQhtfnQ <br />Clerk Informed the Council that Ramsey County Engineer Deane Anklan had <br />_ailed and stated that the installation of a light at County Road F and <br />ernwood Avenue is now with the Northern States Power Company who will <br />Install It as soon as they can provide the proper service. <br /> <br />license Application <br />Trustee Crepeau moved approval of issuance of cigarette licenses for <br />Honeywell BuIldings 103 and 502 to the Canteen Company of Minnesota, Inc., <br />subject to Inspection by the Health Officer and the Police Department; <br />seconded by Trustee BJorndahl; motion carried. <br /> <br />Approval of Bonds <br />Trustee Crepeau moved the approval of bonds in the amount of $1,000.00 <br />for the Clerk and Treasurer and $500.00 for JustIce of the Peace Pomerenke, <br />and the Increasing of these amounts to be reconsidered by the Finance <br />Committee; seconded by Trustee Olmen; motion carried. <br /> <br />-4- <br />
