The Village had author-
Ized snow removal on these streets, but because they do not meet the
required standards the Village has not accepted them. There Is a drainage
problem at the IntersectIon of these two streets which Is making vehicle
traffic difficult; complaints from the businesses have been received at the
V I I I age ffa I I .

Clerk was requested to send this letter to Roberts Development Company and
copies to the businesses In the Twin CIty IndustrIal Park.

REPORT OF TRUSTEE HOllENHORST

None.

REPORT OF TRUSTEE CREPEAU

WarmlnQ House Vandalism
Trustee Crepeau reported that the warmlnQ house at the lake Johanna rink
has been used for partIes, etc. and requested ~haT ~he building be locked
or removed. Fred Nixon reported that locks nave tuan broken to gain en-
trance, but he will now nail the openings closed, as It Is Impossible to
move it at this time.

VlllaQe SiQns
Trustee Crepeau Informed the Council that a survey has been made of the
Village re need for signs. He submitted a list of locations where 17
radar signs and Village entrance Signs are needed. Roger Reiling, member
of the Arden Hills Jaycees, Informally Informed the Council that this or-
ganization has been consIdering placing welcome signs at entrances of the
Village.

Trustee Crepeau moved that the 17 radar signs be ordered and Installed
and delay the ordering of the entrance signs pending further word from
.the Jaycees; seconded by Trustee Hollenhorst; motion carried.

REPORT OF TRUSTEE BJORNDAHl

Recreat I on Comm I ttee,f;irllda--hl
Trustee lie I I .,~t reported that this Committee recommended a study of
the Oak Wilt and Dutch Elm diseases In Arden Hills. He has contacted Dr.
French, University of Minnesota, who Informed him that In North Oaks they
sent a survey group out who marked the diseased trees for disposition;
this would involve some expense to the Village and would also necessitate
an ordinance for enforcement. The North Oaks proJect for the survey and
tree marking cost approximately $1.00 a lot. By removing the diseased oak
tree and treating the soli, Oak Wilt can be controlled. The Village
would be responsible for trees on Village property and Individual owners
on private property. One problem to anticipate Is that some people may
not be financially able to have the diseased trees removed.

-3-
