Water Booster Station Completion Date <br /> Engineer Lund reported that considerable progress Ilas been made In <br /> the past few weeks, that NSP doesn't have power to site as yet and <br /> that the contractor's electrician should be finished shortly. Engineer <br />. Lund anticipates the station should be operating In a week or two. <br /> He also reported the water tower I s being painted Inside. The Council <br /> directed Engineer Lund to contact Healy Mechanical Contracting con- <br /> cerning delay In completion. <br /> Lindqren Dralnaqe - 1133 Co Rd D <br /> Engineer Lund and Supervisor Beecher have met with Mr. Lundgren. <br /> Construction of a storm sewer and catch basin should alleviate the <br /> problem. Engineer Lund estimated cost of materials and necessary <br /> excavation to be $400, and stated Vii lage Maintenance employees <br /> could handle the Installation - Councilman Olmen moved that Super- <br /> visor Beecher ~omplete the project as outlined as soon as Engineer <br /> Lund has secured the necessary easement from Mr. Lindgren. <br /> Drainage Plan for School on E2 <br /> Engineer Lund stated preliminary plans appear to be satisfactory. <br /> He anticipates that he will receive more detailed plans later from <br /> the architect. <br /> Tax Forfeited Lands <br /> Clerk Stromquist read the letter of September 16, 1968 from the <br /> County Land Commissioner. Matter referred to Engineer Lund and the <br /> Parks and Recreation Committee. <br /> Ramsey County Resolution Acceptlnq Red Fox Road <br /> Administrative Clerk Stromquist read the attached County Resolution <br /> accepting Red Fox Road. Mr. CII ff Lund stated there was an urgent <br /> need for Improvement of Red Fox Road; expansion at the Industrial <br /> Park will add at least 300 employees In a few months. Counc II <br /> requested Administrative Clerk Stromquist to write the Ramsey <br /> County Engineer requesting some work be done on Red Fox Road to make <br /> It pessable this winter. <br /> Petition for Water Service Extension <br /> Engineer Lund submitted the petition for service extension on <br /> Hamllne Ave., north of Co Rd E. He stated four or five small <br /> parcels of land were Involved and could be handled with a change <br />. order. <br /> REPORT OF TREASURER READ <br /> Bond Sale for Water Improvement 68-1 <br />. Treasurer Read reviewed and evaluated the proposed sale of short- <br /> term bonds for Improvement 68-1 and discussed the bond service <br /> agreement with Fiscal Agent Popovich. This short-term bond Issue <br /> of $575,000 will come due at the same time as the short-term bonds <br /> for Improvements 67-1 and 67-2. Both short term bond Issues would <br /> then be replaced with long term bonds and the service rate charged <br /> by the fIscal agent will be 3/4 of the regu~ar rate. Treasurer <br /> Worth Read recommended approval of the service agreement with the <br /> fiscal agent. The Counc II agreed but suggested that a letter be <br /> obtained from Mr. Popovich II stl ng his proposed service rate for <br /> the long term bond sale. Councilman Crepeau moved adoption of the <br /> attached Resolution Providing for Public Sale of Temporary lmprove- <br /> - 4 - <br />
