He Informed the council the property now has a new <br />owner - the outhouse has been removed and the property has been <br />Improved and more repairs are planned. The new owner intends to use <br />the cottage as a summer home. <br /> <br />Councilman Crepeau moved, seconded by Counc! Iman Hollenhorst, the <br />condemnation proceedings action against this property be rescinded; <br />motion carried. <br /> <br />REPORT OF COUNCILMAN HOLLENHORST -Planning & Zoning <br /> <br />~~~~_~~~_~~~~~_~_~[~_[~~~~~~_~~~~L~~_~~~_E~[~L! <br />Councilman Hollenhorst reported that a public hearing on this matter <br />had been held by the Planning Commission - many residents spoke In <br />favor of granting the permit; none against. <br /> <br />Councilman Hollenhorst moved, as recommended by the Planning Commission, <br />that a special use permit be granted to allow Dr. Frankson, 1377 <br />Forest Lane, to kennel four Siberian husky dogs on his property until <br />January I, 1970; seconded by Councilman Crepeau; motion carried. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />VillaQe Street Lighting <br />Mr~-D;::eis:--N~S~P~-representatlve, appeared before the Planning Commission <br />and discussed additional street Il"hting for Arden Hills. Clerk <br />Lorraine Stromquist presented a map, which was submitted by Mr, Dreis <br />at the meeting. This map showed proposed locations of 127 additIonal <br />light locations; the Public Safety Committee had already requested <br />some locations. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The Planning Commission and Planner Carl Dale felt the council should <br />consider appointing a citizens committee to study individual desires <br />and report to the council. Councilman Crepeau expressed his opinion <br />that the Public Safety Committee would concur with a citizens committee. <br /> <br />Planning Commission recommended that Banister Engineering Co. be <br />authorized to study the cost and feasibilIty of ornamental lighting, <br />and that groups desiring this type of lighting could finance the <br />installation cost. <br /> <br />Clerk Lorraine Stromquist was requested to submit a list of possible <br />committee members to the council for their consideratIon. <br /> <br />-5- <br />
